Set it a little higher and if you still feel like you need to lose more adjust it? If you set it too low, you may get discouraged when you should be celebrating.

Unless you take in more calories than you burn, then no. That is nonsense. If the protein shake causes a surplus of calories, then sure.

I really wish planet fitness wasn't so terrible with their policies. 10$ a month would be nice, but the lunk alarm? On top of that NO deadlifting? It's like they don't want fit people in the gym.

As long as you aren't modifying your eating or exercise habits then it doesn't matter. I imagine your body has to change things up a bit when you are sick (i.e. retain water, slow down metabolism etc.) It will come back off when you kick the cold. 2 lbs of snot is a LOT lol. I am pretty sure its not that.

That is a really good idea. Sometimes I will log stuff after I eat it and it doesn't fit my macros/calories for the day. By then of course, its too late.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some diets are as low as 500 a day, but they are used when extreme measures need to be taken. Personally, I think I would start eating my own hand if I was under 1000 a day :O

Are you doing any strength training? Building muscle will help increase your metabolism when at rest.

To get them really sour like that, you would need to roll them in citric acid and sugar/sweetener.

1 pound of fat = 3500 kcal. You are either eating way more calories than you think, or you are putting on water weight of some sort. More than likely its nothing to worry about.

I drink a protein shake for lunch every day. I recommend getting vanilla flavored as you can mix stuff in like fruit, yogurt or peanut butter. Of course you can mix it in with any flavor, but vanilla seems to be the most versatile. There is nothing magical about them, but the protein keeps me full until dinner time.

I was carrying a box out to the living room last night and my pants fell down. I had to shuffle to the table with my pants around my ankles. I guess I need to wear a belt all the time now lol.

I hardly ever eat all of my calories. I see it more as a ceiling than anything. That said, I do try to come somewhat close to it. Just don't go over your allotted amount and eat until you are full.
