When I do a long bike ride, 30 miles or more, I crave the sugary soft drink (diet doctor pepper). That is the only time I have a pop. I think it is because my sugars are low. Otherwise, it is water for me too.

How many calories eaten at a buffet.

Friends are friends. Like-minded friends are different. They motivate, inspire, and are dedicated to the cause. Like I just posted in another thread, if they are idle 30 days, I deleted them. I am getting ready to clean that list.
-
I would accept the request. But, if that sat idle for 3 days, they will be deleted.

I struggled with carbs as well. Then I researched carbs, then talked to my fat doctor, as well as my primary care doc. I educated them with my research. To get past carbs, you have to understand there are carbs in just about everything. The difference is "good carbs" vs. "bad carbs". Apples, bananas, rice, meat.....all…

Biking and walking is my choice of activity. I would encourage biking as a choice. For me, biking can be an activity where I burn a lot of calories, or leisurely, and still burning calories. Whatever your choice of activity, make it enjoyable so that you will want to continue to do it.

Jerry.....first things first, congratulations on the weight loss. Impressive! 900 calories isn't that much. Well rounded meals, and calorie intake is important. Use food to lose weight. But it has to be proper food. Next time you have a doctor appointment, consult with them and build a plan together. Now, the stomach…

Stop starting over. Keep going. lets make it day 8. Then 9. Then 10. You get the idea. You got this!

Way to go. Stay motivated. Stay focused. Build habits. Habits turn to routines. One those are set, it will feel "weird" not to stay focused. I have had people collecting :friends", but weren't motivated to give, and get support and inspiration. Count me in! You got this!

Go into settings, and link them together. You don't need a paid subscription to have connectivity. I hope this helps.

To further help you understand, when I first set up MFP, my weight, height, and goals all calculated I should eat 2,400 calories. I did, with ease. But once I talked to the nutritional doc, we adjusted it down to 2,000.
-
Not knowing your plan, what you want to lose (or gain), it sounds like your planned calories are set to high. I am at 2,000 for the day. I might suggest talking to your doctor, form a plan, and adjust your calories accordingly. You can do this manually in your settings. Again, not knowing your objective, but I would think…

You all are heroes. Champions of your world. You are winning at losing. You are all looking great!! Keep it up. If you are feeling down, that's a normal feeling. Don't be consumed by it to the point you give up. I say this, because I did. Frustration, didn't this I was making progress. Had to break out the "fat boy" pants…

Always going to have naysayers im sure we can all tell stories. You do it for you. Let that be your mindset. You got this.
-
You are doing great. Keep up the great progress.
-
Keep up the good progress. You got this. I feel the same way, support is important. Add me too.
-
Stay focused. Some days you will fall off the wagon, just make them fast and few between. Set new habits.
-
Welcome back. You got this. People do come and go. Sad reality. Like others, I'm here everyday.
-
I totally understand as well. I sometimes feel alone in doing this. Having like minded support around you is important. Finding that person, or persons, is tough. Seems people come and go. I've come to rely upon myself, but the downside is, it makes it easy to give up. But I can't. Hang in there. Stay focused. You gotthis.…

Juicing shouldnt cause you alarm. Its quite practical.

My Fitness Pal, Trek bike, Aria scale, Map My Ride, and Fitbit are all in my war chest.

First off, congratulations in making the change, and accepting "the new you". You can do this. Just believe in yourself. Welcome to MFP. I always say its a mindset, and when you are ready to change, the hard part is past you. I am not saying this is going to be easy, but with proper drive and determination, you can do it.…

Try Leslie Sansone's "Walk at Home". Many videos on youtube. Pick an easy one at first. Then as you progress, you can add longer ones. More demanding ones. When I am unable to bike, I do the workout. D

Are you really kidding me?? In 2 days you are gaining weight? Clothes don't fit? You are not going to get results in 2 days. And 600 calories? A day? You are going to seriously hurt yourself doing that. I base that not even knowing your current physique. You might be a good candidate to see a doctor. Bit 600 calories isn't…

Sometimes we all need a swift kick in the behind to regain the motivation. I sure know I do. Your motivation should be where you have come from. 24 pounds lost? That's an accomplishment. Great job! You were ill, now you are better. Now its time to get back on the wagon, back on course, and continue your journey to being…

Guilt stops me. So if I binge (or even have what I know I am not supposed to have) and them comes weigh-in time, if I havent lost the desired weight, I am the one to blame. It really comes down to mind over matter. D

Keep up the good work. Deciding to start this venture is the first step. With each step you take, results will happen. I too have come to where I just want to stop. Then I read posts like yours and makes me keep going. Feel free to add me as well. Matter of fact, anyone that wants to do the buddy system and help motivate…
