I think it's different for each person, but yeah, for the most part MFP gives you everything weight watchers does and more, and IT'S FREE!

I don't sweat either!! It has to be over 90 out for me to even have a bead of sweat on my forehead. But my face does get BRIGHT red.

I put mine on eggs, fajitas, burgers, tacos, salad (instead of dressing), the list goes on. Pretty much anything that may be spicy, I put an avacado on to tame it down. Also, if you keep the pit in, it helps it not brown as much. I eat brown avacados too, just scrape it off a little. It's what happens to avacados when they…

Thanks for the reading material! It's given me a lot to think about. I guess you could say I'm a mixture of both?
-
Ha! My sentiments exactly.

Same!! I have been using MFP off and on since 2009. I usually stick with it for a few months, then something big happens in my life and I totally lose focus. OR, like last time, I lost 20 pounds, felt fantastic and decided it was too hard to keep trying...But my consequence is that I always gain it back! Sometimes plus…

Did week2 day4 yesterday, my last day is today if I can muster the strength. I played Just Dance 3 for a straight hour last night...my arms hurt!
-
I feel your pain! Literally!! I physically cannot do a push up, so you can forget about crow pushups Jillian!

Week2 Day 4 done!! Didn't reach my goal of not pausing during the plank cardio, but it felt more managable. Okay, the squat jumps weren't but the plank jacks and mt. climbers were. Anyone else have trouble with their hips during the side lunge with leg lift? Mine don't want to move that way.

This IS weird! He's 28, went to Myrtle Point High School, graduated...2001 or 2002 I can't remember.
-
Ditto on the plank cardio! Week2 Day3 done yesterday. It was....not easier, but not quite as hard. I felt accomplished rather than defeated, and I'm secretly looking forward to today to see if I can do all that plank cardio without breaks!

I'm taking some pre-nursing classes and have unofficially dubbed myself a bio/chem nerd. So my suggestion is...

Bay area. I was born in San Jose area, lived in Menlo Park till I was seven, then moved to Portland. My dad still lives in San Jose, and my Gramma in Menlo Park, so I visit a few times a year. In Oregon, I've lived in Portland, Monmouth, and Albany. My boyfriend's from the Coos Bay area! Well, Myrtle Point to be exact, but…

I'M ORIGINALLY FROM CALI!! I was a kid when we moved here, but have always kept Cali in my heart. I also used to live in Monmouth (right outside of Salem), and was not fond of Salem. I'm honestly not that fond of the valley in general, but I'm stuck here for the time being so complaining will get me nowhere. I prefer…

Have you tried writeordie.com? It's a great little tool if you haven't. Basically, you set a word count goal and a time goal (but the word count is more important), and a punishment if you don't keep writing. I always chose kamakazi because if there is too long of a pause...it starts deleting what you wrote! Its a great…

Shut the front door... I AM NOT ALONE!! HI guys! I'm only at 10K as of yesterday, haven't written today but my goal is at least 2000. I surprisingly fall behind on the weekends because everyone's home and things are going on. I have a tendency to get lost in my writing and forget to eat, so the last few days have been very…

I did that yesterday. And for some reason I am more sore this morning than I was after week 2 day 1. I felt like I pushed myself a little bit harder, but in doing that, I collapsed during the squat jumps! And I cannot do a full crow push up to save my life!!

I'm in Albany! :-)
-
OOOH that sounds good! Definitely report back!
-
Yay! Welcome!

Through and through! I'm the only one in my family. My sister is Ducks all the way, my mom couldn't care less, and my Dad is all about Stanford. It's been and interesting football season in my family this year. I have friends out in Hillsborro! I think it's a pretty nice area. I lived in the suburbs of Portland, and hated…

HI! I live in the Albany/Corvallis area but I grew up in Portland. What area are you from?
-
You must be in amazing shape to say that with a smile!

OMG W2D1 SUCKED!! My arms feel like jello! I have never sweat so much during a work out. And to top it all off, I felt like I was going to vomit halfway through circuit two! And I have how many more days of this?! :noway:
-
Welcome! I love this site, and i"m sure you will too. No matter how much I might stray, I always find my way back to MFP. I've been able to lose 18 pounds by keeping track of my calories and increasing exercise. For me, the key is HONESTY. If I eat an oreo, I log the oreo! If I eat a few peanuts, I may not log…

Thanks, I didn't have the energy to finish it on Friday, and was too busy Saturday to get it in. BUT I feel rested with this extra hour of sleep, and I've made a 90% recovery, so I'm going to try Week one for one more day than MAKE myself do Week 2! Wish me luck!
-
I had to take the last two days off due to being sick, hopefully I have enough energy for it today and saturday to make up for it!
-
Me too!! I did about 10 seconds before my arms started to give out and I almost hit my head on the wall. Does anyone like the obleque (side plank) exercise? It's my LEAST favorite.
-
Literally just finished W1/D2...my arms feel like jello!! It was so much easier yesterday!! Yucky. I totally phoned it in on the first circuit too...which never makes me feel good. Tomorrow I shall work extra hard.

I did W1/D1 yesterday, felt okay. Ready for W1/D2 today! My goal is to be able to do real push ups by the end!!
