Quick, easy, and low calorie! Thanks for sharing with us!

And pack something salty so when they bring out the chips, you can eat something salty too!

Welcome to MFP. I've been logging on for a little over a week now and all the support and tips are great. It helps to log your food in to keep yourself accountable!

Welcome! I think you could pack some food with a cold pack to keep cold. I remember taking my lunch some days when I was in school. Plan ahead and pack the night before.

This week, do to suggestions on this site, I've been making a breakfast sandwich to eat on the way to work. Light english muffin, one turkey sausage patty, ff cheese slice, and sometimes will add in a egg beater with veggies mixed in to it also. Keeps me full.

This literally made me LOL. I haven't had it either but after looking at these pictures, it's on my grocery list now!!!!

I used the veggie/egg beater muffin thing with a light english muffin, ff cheese slice and one turkey sausage patty this morning. Who needs mcdonalds sausage egg cheese mcmuffin? 21gm of protein! Tuesdays are my late day at work so I knew I wouldn't be eating lunch until close to 3. This kept me satisfied easily until then!

I remember working night shift. It's hard at 4am! Pack plenty of food to munch throughout the night when you need to do something to keep awake!

Welcome! MFP is great!

I made the crockpot salsa chicken on Saturday and have been eating it for lunch since. I put it on top of salad, add a half pkg 100cal wholly guacamole... yum!!! I think this could me a lunch staple for me. So so good. Then I bring some fresh fruit for the sweet factor.
-
never mind. ;) I got it. I added some squash and used fresh broccoli. Yummy. I have enough to take in my lunches all week!
-
potentially dumb question..... are you ready? do you COOK the instant rice before adding it to the mixture?

I think 14 weeks will be plenty for you. I did my first half marathon this past may and I used 16 weeks but I wasn't running AT ALL when I started and ended up walking/jogging the whole thing. Check out halhigdon.com or jeffgalloway.com. They have some training schedules you can use.

Hmm. I don't usually hold on to the area of the handles where it checks your heart rate, it doesn't change my calories, just tells me what zone I'm in regarding warm up, fat burning, etc. I am able to enter my weight and age though. Oh well. Until I get a HRM I'll just go with MFP. I don't use all my exercise calories…

Great suggestions! I might have to do those Kale chips tomorrow! When I was at the grocery I was trying to find something low cal to dip into guacamole. This should work! Thanks HungryMom. My goal was to finish and not be last and I accomplished both ;)

Welcome! I just started MFP regularly this week. It's good to have "friends" on this site. It makes me want to keep my calories in check so my update at the end of the day can say "jessica ... was under her calorie goal" It's amazing how much more choosier I have been with my food for that reason ;)

Welcome! Congrats on the 3lb loss, what a great start!
-
Thanks for all the great suggestions! I'm adding to my grocery list for the weekend :)

I'm a fan of sandwich thins, deli select turkey with some sliced cucumber on it, and a little 1/3 less fat garden cream cheese. YUM! I'll also cut up a watermelon and take that will my lunches. Good for you for working out during lunch. There's no way I could do that, I'm a huge sweater! LOL

Great! Thanks guys!

Hi Tara! Yesterday was my day one of being focused! Hope we can motivate each other!

Oh wow. That looks REALLY good. My family doesn't like anything broccoli or rice so that means I could take that in my lunch every day for a week! Thanks!!

I agree with the baby nail clippers. Heck, we still use those for my 7 year old! Skip on the powder. As an obstetric nurse, we caution against it. Baby socks Gowns -even for a boy, makes middle of the night diaper changes faster
