Search for 'prescription goggles' on ebay. Mine were about £7. If your eyes are slightly different, just go for the closest middle value - it's not like you need them for driving lol.

I cook chicken to have with my salad. I cook the chicken with garlic, chillies, ginger and seasoning. By the time it hits the salad, it has enough flavour to lift the whole dish :-)

I love my cheap prescription goggles - saves me having to fiddle about with contact lenses and I love my swimming bandana. I was tired of my swimming cap coming off, or the feeling of hair caught in the rubber strap on my goggles. My bandana doesn't keep my hair dry (NOTHING keeps my hair dry, apparently) but at least it…

I use Ad Blocker Plus so no ads for me!

75+ I cycle all the time and I guess it's given me the right muscles. I did a wii challenge a while back and it said stop if you get to 50. I got bored at 75 so I stopped, but I probably could have done a couple of hundred, no sweat.

Yes I also have bigger hips, so I guess it does balance out. I'm not someone who feels the need to conform to gender stereotypes, but I have to admit that I felt a bit butch when I was trying to look floaty and beady, so I went and got changed lol. I guess it will look more kick-*kitten* as I get thinner and start to see…

Yep! One mile in 53 minutes. I am a creature of habit lol.

That's fantastic! Well done :-)

So I did my third workout A today, and I'm up to 15kgs for the squats and barbell rows and 20kg for the bench press. My body actually felt tired afterwards for the first time, so I guess that shows I'm starting to feel it. Workout A Squats - 15kg (33lbs) Barbell Rows - 15kg Bench Press - 20kg (45lbs) Hope everyone's day is…

If it's difficult for you to do, and you do it, you'll see results. Even if the results are only 'this is easier'.

I am definitely crazy, coffee is the only thing that keeps me sane :-D

It is now believed that following a low calorie diet (of any kind) will improve insulin resistance within one week. It is not just high protein / low carb diets that do this. "After one week, those on the extreme low-calorie diet had pre-breakfast blood glucose levels close to normal. This was in line with decreasing fat…

To the OP - if you get headaches when cutting back, and you **want** to cut back (if not, then please ignore) then try swapping one or two cups for tea at first, then swapping a few more cups for tea and then switching wholly to tea. When we tried going cold turkey on no coffee, we got headaches, but if we drank tea (which…

There have been other studies that say coffee helps protect against a range of diseases, including diabetes. http://authoritynutrition.com/why-is-coffee-good-for-you/

Ha ha! Me too. I was fine going up the stairs but not down the stairs, nuh-uh. I screamed a little every time I sat down. Good job Angel! :-)

Ha ha ha, this is me exactly. 'Okay this is length 42, don't forget, next one 43, or is it 44? Did I do 43 already? Damn, I'll just look at the clock and figure it out...'

They have these 'fixed weight' barbells that I'm using, mainly because there is only one Olympic barbell and that's in use a lot of the time with the serious sort of lifters, so I don't want to wait for that when I'm still only on the very light weights. Plus it's quicker to just go in, grab it, and get going, rather than…

Yes I did, my usual mile. I noticed the other day that my shoulders looked bigger and rounder. I actually had to change tops because it looked a little unusual in what I was planning to wear. Anyone else notice this after daily swimming?

You know, I had this idea that it was going to be complicated, or intimidating but it actually wasn't. No-one bothers me. I do what I came to do and go. You could always ask the gym for an induction or a quick tour around the machines, if it makes it easier?

I use 'sun, swim and gym' 3 in 1 to wash my hair and face afterwards and then I spray the leave in conditioner in. The sun, swim and gym leave in conditioner is okay, but I tried a few and the best by far is Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair Beauty Balm, which smells sooooo good and makes my hair all lovely and…

Oh gee, I just realised that if I put it in pounds, it sounds like so much more :-D I didn't realise 20kg was 45lbs, that sounds so much better! At the moment I am doing everything at 35lbs apart from the bench press at 45lbs. It's going well; I hoped that by starting small and building up I would avoid hurting myself in…

I was raised on the F-plan, from which my mother somehow deduced that wholemeal bread was the be-all and end-all of diets. We very rarely had any protein, very little dairy (we used to get told off for drinking all the milk or eating all the cheese). Meat was something served once or twice a week, in small amounts and the…

I also am curious about this. I have been eating a heck of a lot of protein and doing weights, hoping to build some muscle but if it's not possible in a deficit then I may be wasting my time :-(

A 30g serving is 111 calories. With 150ml semi skimmed milk it would be approximately 186 calories.

This is a bit embarrassing but... My nipples are really noticeable now, and it's sort of cringey. I want them to go away again! I look like I'm constantly flashing everyone through my t-shirts.

And thank you to those who put in kind words for me; I was slightly expecting world war 3 when I returned to check the comments, so it's nice to see that didn't happen. Also, yeyy for those who didn't know and want to give them a try now. I hope you enjoy!

Ah that sucks. Sometimes I have this debate about being the good guy who finishes last or the pushy guy who gets in first. I'd rather be very polite and let everyone take turns but I often notice that other people get ahead of me. Sometimes it pays to be the pushy person who shoulders forward, as impolite as that sounds.

Amen! Somewhere, out there, I am somebody's frustrating swim. Go me, lol. *crawls away in shame*

I did notice that there appeared to be differed brands when I was shopping for them. I wonder if that explains the difference in taste and texture that some people report? I bought 'Zero Noodles'. These are definitely 4 calories for a 200g bag. I'd post a link but I don't want to run foul of mfp guidelines. I did notice…

Thank you! I look forward to trying some of them out :-D
