I've had French Toast of the menu for some time, but found a good fix for it last week. (Cue the 'processed food' Nazis) Jimmy D's™ French Toast Griddlers. Turkey sausage on two piece of french toast, 210 calories, and makes a great breakfast. On a side note, it is a good thing I read labels--sometimes you find unexpected…

Nothing wrong with snacking as long as it is the right kind of snacks. Foods high in protein will make you feel full longer.

In. I've been averaging 10lbs a month, so *should* be able to do it. I weigh in on Mondays.

Some do, some don't. For me, it is hard to look at it like a lifestyle change if I feel the need to "cheat." That's not to say there are not days I go over--it is just not regular or something I plan to do. It would also seem that if you are taking a cheat day that you will need to be super diligent the rest of the week. A…

I've notice my tastes for some things have changed as well. Took a bite of a Reece's Cup and about went into shock it tasted so sweet and rich. Did not want.

Once a week, every Monday morning under the same conditions: after toilet, before shower.

Not used it but thought about getting it myself, until I found out it does not work with any watch or treadmill--strictly Bluetooth. My phone battery is too unreliable for that.

Chocolate chip cookies. Never been a fan of chocolate chips in general, but I have killed for oatmeal raisin cookies.

Stephen Crane In the Desert In the desert I saw a creature, naked, bestial, Who, squatting upon the ground, Held his heart in his hands, And ate of it. I said, "Is it good, friend?" "It is bitter – bitter", he answered, "But I like it Because it is bitter, And because it is my heart."

Glad I got my ticket... ....to the GUN SHOW! Awesome job, you look great!

Get some dinner rolls, bread sticks, cheese bread, or other breads to accompany his meal. You can get most of that frozen, so it is easy to make a single serving as needed, and it will help him feel full.

Have you taken before photos to compare against? If not, do so now so you'll have them later when you are questioning what you see again.

Fiber will do that. Had that problem for a bit when I was eating FiberOne bars for breakfast.

My fear is everyone is doing this, which is one of the things that keeps me from using the resistance machines, and I have not even dared to think about hitting the weights. I would not consider myself a gym rat, but FourSquare declared me one a couple of weeks ago.

I eat Taco Bell pretty regularly, I must admit. Though these days, it is almost exclusively from the Fresco menu items. It is the only fast food restaurant available to me besides Subway that I can get a reasonable meal, portion and calorie wise.

I'll 2nd this one. For motivation, check out http://www.runningintoshape.com

In my research, I found something interesting along this vein. http://www.brianmac.co.uk/fatburn.htm

At the end of my 28 minute run yesterday, I knew my heart was pounding pretty good so as soon as I went down to my fast walk, I grabbed the HRM on the treadmill. It said my heart rate was 186 (took 30 seconds into the walk before it gave the reading). Now, I have used a number of methods to calculate my MHR, and it comes…

I'll agree about slow is better than not at all. You can always work on your speed once you have your endurance. I also want to recommend http://www.runningintoshape.com Carli completed the Couch to 5K and has run in three races. She's working on longer races now. She also created music podcasts for the Couch to 5K…

My local Meijer store had a promo: buy 2 Mio, get a 24 pack of water free. Was getting the water anyway, so figured what the heck. However, not been impressed the two times I've tried it. First time, way over did it. Second time, I used half as much and was still too sweet. I'll keep experimenting, but usually don't have…

But who would log sex? Do you really want your friends to know how frequent/infrequent you are getting in an 'extra workout'?

Dogs > Cats Can't believe I'm the first to say it...

I would also say do not beat yourself up if you feel like you need to repeat a week here or there. But, at the same time, do not fall back on the previous week solely because the next week seems too challenging. Give it a shot! You might amaze yourself how possible the seemingly impossible is when you get it in your head…

I have been there. In my case, it was a lot longer than an hour's wait, and it was a ride I had rode before. However, they changed the harness configuration, and I had the same experience you did. Was very troubling to me at the time but sadly it was not a catalyst for change--at least not major change. It took a medical…

Very interesting that the reasons given are kind of secondary reasons--calculation errors and intake control, rather than actually stating that eating your burned calories itself is detrimental.

Yes. I'm down 60lbs since the start of November 2010, and I always eat my exercise calories. I have had a lose every single week, and typically loose 1.5-3 lbs a week.

Glad you found MFP, and best of luck to you on your journey!

Not diving into the eat/don't eat workout calories battle again--I'm learning that it works for some, not for others. That being said, your goal is exactly that--a goal. It is not a limit you should be under. It is the amount of calories you should eat. Since all calories you eat and burn are estimates, 100 over or under…

How many calories are you consuming?

I eased myself into it--didn't work out for the first two months, just modified my diet. Only added exercise after I was losing weight and was even more motivated.
