Welcome! I've been using MFP since November, and my results thus far speak for themselves. Of course, this is just a tool and like any other, it only helps you accomplish what you already want to. It's in beta--why not help them test it?…

Klondike has a line called "Slim a Bear" that are all 100 calories. Had a vanilla sandwich yesterday and it was AWESOME.

Wow, looking good! Great job!

Hmm...have not yet been able to get behind the wheat spaghetti but I may have to give this one a try.

Great work! Your start weight is about where I am now (235), so I really appreciate you posting these pics--shows me where I'll be myself when I hit goal (160).

Well, this is not my area of expertise, but when I need something to stay in place, nothing does the job like good ol' duct tape.

I think you can lose weight on diet alone, it is just harder. When I started, I did not work out at all for the first two months, yet lost about 25lbs. In January, I started working out 3 days a week, but ate my calories. Guess what? I've lost about another 25lbs. I think people work out--especially when they go crazy with…

You first need to host it somewhere like imageshack.us or imgur.com, or even your own profile. If in your profile, after uploading, right-click and select "copy image location". Then, you place the generated link to the photo between image tags that look like this without the astrick: [*img]link here[*/img] The result:

Well, here are some that I've seen: SW - Starting weight CW - current weight GW - goal weight MG - mini goal HRM - heart rate monitor NSV - Non-Scale Victory That's all I can think of off hand, but if you see another not listed, post it and someone can help.

Yep, I agree. It is sometimes good to see things in a different way though. I have seen a number of posts here in the line of "I never understood it until I saw it explained that way...." or "Wow, now I get it..."

I'm sure there are, as I am sure there are other plans to get you up to a 5K. But, I like the format of the C25K program. As to 30 minutes vs 1 minute, while I am not to 30 minutes yet I can do 20 minutes at 4.5mph. However, there's no way I can do 20 minutes at 6mph. But, if I start the program over and build myself up…

I had trouble sticking to the gym in the past. This time around, I am following the Couch to 5K program, and so I have a goal each time I go to the gym--it has really made a difference for me as not only do I feel challenged to go, but feel great when I meet my goal.

Phew, take a deep breath. Feel better to get that all that off your chest? I think tmbowman, jewls30, and jennifir pretty much nailed it. Thank your step-mom for the motivation and keep on trucking!

Calories are calories, and they all count!

I'm planning to go through it again to attempt to improve my speed. I'm not so fast thus far.

I'll 3rd the Chinese buffet. Each visit was 2-3 plates full of fried junk and calorie laden sauces. I still love Chinese food, but just can't imagine doing that again.

The first hummus I ever tried, unbeknownst to me, was garlic flavored. I did not like it and stayed away from trying hummus again for some time. Last year, on a whim I picked up some roasted red pepper hummus and have been a fan ever since!

I start week 6 of the Couch to 5K program today, and I hope to run a 5K in May.

I log everything, almost to a fault and often to the chagrin of my friends and family. (yay Android app!) There have only been 2 days since November that I did not log everything, and they were not 'cheat days' or anything of the sort, but rather I simply forgot to log a complicated meal within a reasonable time and forgot…

Way to go. It was such a short time ago that I was exhausted running for a minute, but finished Week 5 of the C25K program tonight and ran for 20 minutes! Check out Carli at http://runningintoshape.com for additional motivation.

Look at those kiddos in your tracker, and know that you want to be healthy so you're around for them. What more motivation do you need?

It was about 30 or 35lbs lost that I found I could wear a smaller pant size. In total thus far, I have lost 4 inches in the waist, 44" to 40". I have lost at least 10 inches around my belly. 3XL to 2XL in shirts.

Take the scale out of your bathroom (or where ever it is) and put it someplace inconvenient, where it is out of your way and not exactly easy to quickly weight yourself. You naturally yo-yo though the day and though the week, so you accomplish nothing by frequent weighing other than feeling false disappointment when it…
