Did you change your weight at some point today between your two walks? If your weight changes, the amount of calories you burn changes.
-
That sounds delicious! How many cals does it end up being?
-
It works for me... I'm just looking to keep track of how many calories I burn when I work out and it does just that for me.
-
I use a HRM and for a 50 minute class, I usually burn between 375 and 500 calories - depending on how hard I work and the intensity of the songs in the class.
-
I bought a heart rate monitor and would track how much I burned with my monitor and added it on my own. I would only burn about 150 to 170 a workout since it's not purely cardio and has a bunch of strength training.

Today I brought a whole wheat soft taco size tortilla and filled it with a quarter cup of white rice, some black beans, corn, and diced tomatoes with green chilies. YUM!
-
I bring my own lunch too. One of my new favorites is a California Wrap. Take a Whole Wheat (Soft Taco Size) Wrap, spread a tablepoon of hummus around on it, put on some pieces of precooked roasted chicken, topped it with some red-roasted peppers, reduced fat feta cheese and a little sliced up fresh basil leaves.... and…

Yes, they have a low calorie menu and it's great! It's called "Right Portion, Right Price." My favorite is the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. It comes with two sides: three cheese tortellini with spinach and fresh tomato mozzarella salad. Enjoy!

Definately give it a try! Everyone is welcome to a Zumba class... just go at your own pace and do what you can. Most instructors will give lower impact options that may be easier for a beginner.

Thank you to all of you who have responded! You have really calmed me down! I just didn't really expect to loose this much (maybe get down to a 12) - so I was shocked today when I fit into a 6. I will be sure to talk to a seamstress as soon as possible!
-
And I am wearing a HRM to get those numbers....
-
I'm 5'6" and weigh 140 lbs. I burn anywhere from 130 to 160 doing the 1st Workout of 30 Day Shred.... and I'm really sweating and out of breath.... but that's usually all I get. I was disappointed on how low it actually is.
-
I also use a HRM and log my own calories. I usually only burn 120 to 150 calories per session.
-
Wonderful work! Every little bit makes a difference. You're looking great!
-
You look fantastic!! What a difference. Wonderful job!
-
I don't avoid it... but just eat it in moderation.... peanut butter! Yum!
-
Chick-fil-a's Chargrilled chicken sandwich is 290. I love it!
-
An option is to make your favorite casserole with lower calories options for the ingredients :) That's what I try to do!

I know the feeling. My son is now 2.5 years old. How my husband and I have handled it is that we trade off every other night.... he'll go pick up our son and take care of things at home for the evening and I go straight to my work out after work. When I get home, dinner is ready to go. Then the next night, it's my…

You look amazing!! You should be sooooo proud!!

I will have to tell you that I didn't fit into my regular jeans until my baby was 6 months old. It takes 9 months to gain that weight with a baby... it's going to take some time to take it off. Give yourself some slack. You'll get there!
-
You look fabulous! Thanks for sharing your story!

My opinion is that if you're on the road (travelling or what-have-you) and you're looking for something low cal and don't have any other options.... it's not a horrible choice. I've had it and it tasted good. But it just tasted like the instant oatmeal I can eat at home.
-
I wear my HRM while doing it and only burn about 130 calories... it's not a huge calorie burner in my experience.
-
Spagetti Os! Dolly Madison Zingers (like Twinkies)! Mac and Cheese! Corn Dogs! Bologna Sandwiches! But we ate lots of healthy food too... we always had fruits and vegetables around. Always had a well balanced meal with a protein and a veggie. I ate a lot more crappy food then I do now... but we also ate healthy as well. I…

Nice!

I'm 140 and 5'7". I wear a HRM in Zumba and my calorie burn ranges from 400 to 550 depending on the routines that are done and the intensity that I work at.
-
I totally notice this and agree with you. I can hardly stay under my standard 1380.... but when I work out, I rarely go over. Those 200 or 300 cals make ALL the difference in the world! That all changes if I have to eat out. Eating out is the DEVIL and totally ruins a day :(
-
As you loose weight, you burn fewer calories. It's sucks! (in my opinion :)

I started at 153 in mid-November and am down only 12 lbs now. By mid January, I was down 10 lbs. Once I hit that 10 lbs, the weight lost has REALLY slowed down for me. I don't know if I've lost my will power or what. I wonder if I'm not being as dedicated now because all of my clothes are feeling really great with this…
