I've thought this for the longest time. I don't understand how people manage to even take in the amounts of protein that they do; it all seems terribly inefficient. The numbers that are a recommended are arbitrary too. Yeah there's research but research is there to prove a point, hence why it's being researched in the…

Thanks for the replies. (Some of you really need to chill though). I think this body recomposition thing is just a different ball game I'm getting used to. Though the inaccuracy of body fat %, bmi and whatnot, doesn't help. I want rid of it but is dropping more weight the way to go? Or is this where a cut/bulk cycle comes…

Then I guess I have a mini roll

That's all I wanted to know, thanks. I'd just like it to be flatter maybe, not really defined just flat. It's potentially having to lose more weight that worries me. Both 2 & 3 sound most likely. Any suggestions?

Okay first I'm not sure why the sitting thing is making people think I'm obsessive tbh. Maybe it's the title? I dunno? Though now more than a few people have called me such, I'm curious what makes you say that? I was asking more in terms of whether I should reduce body fat while building the muscle underneath. And whether…

I love spin classes! Like everyone has said make sure you have a towel and plenty of water. Brilliant cardio workout that has a degree of resistance training too, that's my favourite aspect. Definitely feel like you've worked your *kitten* off if you push yourself, and the music tends to be upbeat so that keeps you going.…

Also quoting for future reference. Thanks

Hi, I'm 169cm (5"7' ish) I'm 123lbs nearly at my current goal weight now of 121lbs, with a small frame. I'd like to go back up to around 130lbs by building muscle to add a few curves, without adding too much body fat. I chose that weight as its where I liked the way I looked and felt better about myself but the extra fat I…

Bump Hi! I'm back on here again after a pretty long hiatus, so looking for new friends to cheer on and support with their weight loss/gain and help me do the same. I'm looking to lose around 15lbs I think (bear with me I normally work in kgs and cm, but I'll convert where I can) SW 61.8kg 136lbs CW 61.2kg 135lbs GW 55kg…

Oh student life... I like to think i've managed to eat an alright diet (ate chips, subway, mcdonalds and the like for a week, not by choice, never again!) Can you cook? i have to ask :) Do you eat an ok diet when youre home? if you do try and recreate those meals at uni, im always ringing my mum to see how long i should…

^^^THIS! It was literally the first thing that popped into my head :) Why do people say it ARGHHHH! (and it seems to be those in the US that get it wrong most. Im not hating just making an observation)

Hi, i've just joined and i can totally relate. My diet is ok, but being at home and then uni doesnt help so my intake fluctuates a fair bit. One thing i am worried about is the strength training aspect. I feel the most effective way for me is to join a gym. (Although ive never joined a gym before.) I think i would keep my…

Okra is a superfood? This is news to me. My mum would make this every saturday with ground rice or pounded yam (showing my roots there) :) Its weird how i would complain about it, because i did enjoy eating it despite the slippery texture. I think more people should definitely try it before dismissing it, especially…

I would suggest trying to get your intake of iron naturally. I have been iron deficient (anaemic) for a long time, 5+ years, and have prescribed iron, but as someone else mentioned it plays havoc with my stomach too, to the point where i stopped taking it completely (i had exams and did want it to interfere). I havent…
