I've heard of Turbo Fire but have never done it before. Thanks for your suggestions.

Later on when my body is used to this new way of eating (like this fall) I would like to get into Insanity.

So I see you found the weight loss dropped faster with your program. I don't know anything about CF. I wonder if it's as intense as Insanity. I am not sure if I'm going to continue Insanity. It's so hard to get motivated and I get so frustrated because I cannot keep up with them. It's way more intense than I imagined it…

That's good that it's working for you! You have definitely seen awesome results from it! How long have you been eating Primal?
-
I am starting to see subtle changes already in my core, legs and arms and it's only been a week. That's what is keeping me motivated!

I do love how Shaun T is so motivating and pushes you. He's also great at explaining the way exercises should be done. Not to mention he looks amazing! lol

I'm very glad I posted this because I sure could use some support. My bf talked me into doing it and I borrowed the DVDs from a friend. I actually said I was going to quit yesterday because my body has never been so sore. I am not completely out of shape. I can get through a 60 minute spin class just fine without breaks,…

I'm so glad to hear that others have read the book, implemented the plan and have found fantastic success! I am so excited to receive the book and get started! I just started Insanity too, so hopefully this Primal way of eating with the Insanity program will help me to shed those last 7 pounds that have been hanging on for…

Thanks for all of the tips. I do have the Myofusion Chocoloate Peanut Butter protein power and I love it. I do eat lots of protein - chicken and turkey burgers and some beef. I'm trying to eat more protein and less carbs.
-
Yes I think it's a lot like the Paleo diet. Nothing processed and no sugars is going to be very hard for me to do!
-
It's very hard to explain since I haven't read the book or too much on it. It's mainly about cutting down on carbs and eating more meat. On the fitness side of things it's also about doing less cardio and lifting more weights for faster results. I am going to print out the eBooks today and read up more on it before trying…

I am experiencing the same thing. I need to cut down on the carbs, sugar and sodium. That's my biggest problem. The poster above me said it best that it's mostly about what you eat. Exercise will help too though. I heard some where that weight loss is determined 80% from what you eat and 20% from exercise. Good luck!

I have heard of candida. I never ever drink soda unless I am at the movies and I have to have a small serving of cherry coke. I don't go to the movies that often though ;-) My main cravings are for sugar and bread. Definitely sounds candida-ish.

I have noticed I'll eat stuff with sugar in it without even thinking twice. It's such a natural thing to me anymore. I'll do it especially when I'm stressed. I hate it! I hope I can soon stop it and change my horrible ways!

I just purchased both "Potatoes Not Prozac" and "The Sugar Addicts Total Recovery Program." I hope these two books will help shed some insight on why I eat the foods I do and why I crave certain foods at certain times. Thanks again for your suggestions. I'm about to watch "The Bitter Truth about Sugar- Short Version" on…

Thank you all! This is some amazing information! I really appreciate it!

Awesome and very informative post! I'm printing it off to keep! Thank you!

Well for times like that I can see how extremely hard it would be. I see some people burn like 1000 or more calories at the gym and I think that's absolutely amazing and I wish I could do that, but I think about how much I would have to eat to replace those calories. I think it would be hard. Great job on your marathon! I…

I struggle everyday with going over in carbs and sugar. My weaknesses are chocolate and bread. I almost always like right on the line or over, so I am not perfect! It's been a journey and I still have a long, long way to go. My trainer (who's father was a body builder and who has been training people most of her life) said…

Thanks. I've been on the boards here since I joined in November and I have seen sooooo much controversy over this topic. Here's the bottom line: Your body needs good fuel. If you exercise, you burn up its fuel supply so you need to replace it. If you just exercise to eat junk food and bad foods than you're defeating your…

Yeah protein bars seem to have lots of sugar in them as well. Not all of them but I think a shake would work out so much better. I might try the casein shake that you mentioned to satisfy me longer. I'll be talking to some people at my gym asking them what they use. A new nutrition store just opened up right beside my gym…

Would changing my settings to lose .5 pound per week from a pound per week help me lose weight faster? Someone above recommended it. What is your take on this?
-
I've always heard whey is the best type of protein to use in a shake as well.
-
Yes, that makes perfect sense. Thanks for explaining this. I've been netting like 800-900 on days I go to the gym thinking that'll help me lose weight faster. I guess I should eat back all of my exercise calories. It's hard to do that though. I think adding in a shake will help me be able to do that so I can net 1200.…

I do try to zig zag my calories. I have 1-2 cheat days a week where I eat about 1400-1600 calories. I count that as my days where I'm staggering my calories since I'm eating more. Are you saying that I should be netting 1200 everyday (after exercise)? I've been trying to get my net calories as low as possible with still…

I just need something to help me get past this plateau. It would be a big deal if I could just get to 120. My body has not been under 123 since I was in high school (I am now almost 28). It just wants to hold on to those extra pounds. I don't know if the gym and eating healthy is enough sometimes.
-
I always eat at least 1200 because I know if I don't eat the 1200, then my body's metabolism will suffer. My net is usually lower than that though - like around 800 because I try not to eat ALL of my exercise calories. I shoot for half.
