Wednesday nights I always get people from a high school coming in. One girl and a ton of teen guys. She wears shorts were you can literally see a fourth of her butt. She does squats and everything that gives her an excuse to flash the boys she's with. Oh and the people in the next room that can see her through the window.

I really needed to hear this. I had such a grueling day and thinking of going home and doing another workout is tough to think about. But you're right. It's that attitude that got me to this point. And I always feel fantastic after a great workout!

You should eat your exercise calories if it makes you go under about 1,100-1,200 calories a day. Also, I log any exercise I do that goes above my "activity level". I work a desk job so I selected "sedentary" as my activity level. That way I can manually log any exercising I do, whether it is Kinect, Gym, workout DVD's,…

I agree. The challenge of the calorie goal can actually be quite fun! :) Welcome to MFP :)

I'm on the same "boat" as you and all the other vegetarians that have posted. It's so easy to eat junk and be vegetarian! Cheese pizza, pasta, chinese food, etc. I've been a vegetarian since spring of 2002 and I've managed to put myself in a spot where I need to lose 70 pounds. I wish you the best of luck fellow veggie! I…

I'm not quite at the age to do the mammograms (I believe it's 30, correct me if I'm wrong) but I still check for lumps and abnormalities once a month in the shower, since I don't know much about my father's side of the family. Thank you for the reminder, it is an important message. And incredibly sorry your loss.

I'm in. Can't promise every day because of actual gym visits and a 40-45 hour job but I will commit as much as I can for March!

Yesterday was my first day doing the 30DS. Level 1... Got through it, but wow I really wanted to stop for a break midway through. And this morning OWW. I don't have a car and had to walk to work, and I felt like a little old granny because I was so stiff! And now I'm thinking, "I have to do that again tonight before the…

Welcome to MFP! Congrats on your success so far! You're right, logging it here is just so easy. It breaks everything down for you and you really get a true look at what your nutrition is like. Hope to see you around the forums!

That's awesome! Way to go! I've heard a lot of successes using the Wii/XBox Kinect. 199! That's awesome, you're in Onederland!

You're right. The Android application is a life saver. Really the ONLY excuse to not log food and exercise now is if my phone is dead and I absolutely cannot get access to the internet. Welcome to MFP by the way :)

What a change. You look so much younger and like a whole different person!

Incredibly. The calorie counting and everything is good but can get lonely, and you're more inclined to skip days. The friends I have gained here are incredible. They chat, have fun, motivate me when I'm down or royally messed up a day, and I'm always signing in to join the conversations! The resources here are invaluable.…

That is really inspiring. Great job on your new lifestyle. You've really hit a big milestone and it sounds like you've got the right attitude to get the rest of the weight off easily!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Congrats on your loss so far! The most simple thing (that I'm still trying ever so hard to do!) is: DON'T eat things that come in boxes! Hahaha. Seriously, they may be okay in calories, but they are full of chemicals and sodium. Try to just eat clean, real foods. :) Good luck!

Just reading that almost made me have tears in my eyes. Oh how I crave that success. Way to go, honestly. There is nothing better than seeing that you CAN do it.
-
Welcome! Saw your friend request and have accepted it. This is the best place to be to succeed. :)
-
Sure, I'll add you as a friend. I'm pretty active on the status updates on the "My Home" tab, and watch people's success/failures. And congrats for joining MFP. This is, in my opinion, the best place to be to start and finish the journey. :) I love the people here and have never felt more motivated to turn my life around.…

That is great encouragement. And I love the visual picture as well, really shows the size difference. Congrats on your 0 pounds!
-
Wow, you're looking athletic now :D
-
Wow, that is a huge difference! Great job. You're shrinking all over! :)
-
My new goal is to become more integrated in the YMCA community like you did. After all, what better way to make new friends than a place where we are all striving to achieve health? :)
-
Inner athlete. Love it! Saw on your profile that the movie 300 is your inspiration. That's actually pretty clever. :)
-
I have a lot of myself to "kick" haha. But not giving up! Welcome to MFP. I can hear your motivation just in in the way you type. This community is probably one of the best things that's happened to me. This is the place for support and answers!
-
That's phenomenal! I bet that feels wonderful finally being outside of that classification. Good work! :)
-
Wow, what a motivator. I am myself a member of my local YMCA and I go about 4 times a week. I really love the facilities and the feeling of being around a ton of motivated people. You're my inspiration now too, because you just gave me a new goal! :) Great work and wonderful job.
-
Welcome to MFP! If you have any questions, this is a very active community and we're all here to help each other out. :) Good luck on your journey!
-
Wow, what a nice change. The hair color and style really fits your facial frame. Great job on your success and the new you!

You can do it! Body's are resilient machines. Keep with it and you'll start seeing tons of changes.
