I lift at home and I love it. I currently working on the "New rules for lifting for women" which is a book you can buy. It's a step by step guide on lifting. There is a group for it on here too, there is also "Strength 5*5" which is meant to be good to.

I have a bad knee but found the way I was doing my squats/lunges were not helping. I looked on youtube to get the correct form but basically really think about using your butt more :laugh:

I use Gold Standard 100% whey powder. I've tried vanilla ice-cream which is lovely blended with frozen fruit and the double chocolate which goes nicely blended with peanut butter or a banana. It is a matter of taste really and look around for the best deals too.

Find something that really motivates you to lose the weight and thing about that each time you reach for the junk food. Also when you get hungry outside of mealtimes try drinking a big glass of water and waiting 20 mins. Very interesting, thanks for posting. I started on the 1200 as per mfp and lost 7lb in 2 weeks and was tired and drained. I have increased up to 1700 and happy to say I'm still losing 1-2lb a week. I have now started lifting and looking to increase the cals again.
