  • Cut up fruits/veggies and hummus:) Whole wheat toritllas with light cheese, mozzarella for example (quesadilla) and low sodium salsa:)
  • Is this where we log if were in and if we did it? Im done with my stairs its 11:15 am:) BTW I only counted up:)
  • Im not doing turbofire ( I do p90x, run, snowboard, hike, walk, turbo jam, and yoga:) but I wanted to say I think you should do as many different exercises as you can for a complete exercise routine, including definitely strength conditioning exercises:) Especially the dance as it sounds like thats something you enjoy,…
  • I think the most accurate way is to measure with a normal bra, the one you wear when not working out. Thats what I do. And use the same one each time. Ive got two kids too, I know what ya mean. I measured with a sports bra on last time and there was an inch dif from this time with a normal bra, so from now on Ill be…
  • Add a smoothie with peanut butter, lots of fruit, protein powder and/or juice, and/or milk, and/or yogurt:)
  • Just wanted to throw out a different approach:) I used to worry about how many calories I burned each day trying to hit at least 600 and usually it was more and closer to 1000 and it still is on days I train for my half or snowboarding but not typical anymore. I was reminded by a mfp buddy that when youre working so hard…
  • I count saturated fat. We need fat and I eat a lot of avocados and olive oils, etc.
  • I can see all the pics and youve done an amazing job! The difference in pics is astounding:) You look amazing and have worked hard for it! Good for you!!!!!!
  • http://www.runnersworld.com/article/1,7120,s6-238-244--13919-0,00.html A MUST read:) Youll do great!!!!!! I have run 1 half marathon, doing my next June 12 and my next one after that in October. Im nervous but I know Ill finish. Like others have said, if you can run 10 miles you can run 13. When youre running it you just…
  • I looked at your diary, you need to be eating at least 1200 cal a day. Even if youre not hungry. That is the minimum requirement your body needs just to function... so ya, EAT! lol:) And I had a few suggestions of things you could eat that are more filling/satisfying without feeling like youre eating so much... if youre…
  • I do p90x and I love the videos. I have a hard time making time for strength training, I get a lot of cardio in... but I know I need the muscle:) I just have to say though that at my 5 ft 1 in 127lb size body Im going to benefit just as much if not more (to lose body fat) by eating clean... just sayin:) Its supposed to…

  • I bought my hrm 2 yrs ago. LOVE IT! great investment, rated #1 (but must be within a certain price range cuz I know there are better ones...) by consumer report mag. Timex with the chest band. It was about 80-90$
  • I quit 3.5 yrs ago. My motivation was my children. I pictured them without me and thought how selfish it was for me to continue to smoke knowing I was risking getting very sick and dieing and leaving my babies without a mom. I looked up stuff on line when I was tempted about the risks, stories of women getting sick, family…
  • Awesome thank you for sharing!
  • Ya I compared my hrm to what is says on here and it was way off... just sayin.
  • Timex was rated #1 with Consumer Reports. I use it and have for 2 or 3 yrs. LOVE IT! Polar is another good one as is a Garmin, but the Garmin is VERY expensive. I def recommend getting one I never use MFP counter for cal. I think its totally off.
  • Timex was voted/rated #1 with consumer reports. I have one with chest strap got it at Fred Meyer 2 yrs ago. Im VERY happy with it. I know there are other good ones, polar, garmin, etc. Im just going off personal exp and what consumer reports rated it AFTER I got it and it cost about 80$ I think:)
  • Yes:) Focus on the net:) Eat your exercise cal back so your net should reflect and be the same as your daily cal goal. This was confusing for me too and now I get it and it DOES work! They really should put that on your diary page instead of on your home page, I dont know about you but I go back and forth from diary to…
  • You need to take a break on the high intensity stuff and let your muscles heal (grow:) but getting a low intensity workout in to help with the build up of lactic acid is really important. Im SO sore today from 2 days ago and yesterday should have taken it easy ( and listened to my own medicine) but I went snowboarding. NOW…
  • I like it! Well said! Needed to hear again too:) Thank you!
  • Thats quite the accomplishment! What a transformation!!! Good job:)
  • Hey, I think I heard it takes something like 20 consecutive days (or maybe its 30) of doing something to make it a habit. So a lot of us try something and dont get it so we give up. I was NOT athletic growing up AT ALL, I worked out here and there but not regularly not like I am now! Running for me was like this; walk 10…
  • So I go back and forth with this even still and I should know better! What I think Ive come up with is if I do a big burn (more than 500/600) I eat some back if Im hungry like 200 of them or so. If I do a smaller burn (less than 500) I typically dont eat the cal back unless Im hungry, and thats my stomachs growling and Im…
  • Consumer reports rated the timex hrm #1, there were two different ones both timex. I use the timex one with a chest strap (one of the ones they rated #1) I cant find the article I read in their magazine but I really like mine and got it at Fred Meyers. I think it was 70 or 80$. Definitely recommend!
  • As someone already posted I use them in place of egg for my son, hes allergic. 1 T flax-meal 3 T water = 1 egg. I do this with pancakes, muffins, cookies, any baking I do as well as lasagna:)
  • What I found that works is exercise! And not just that but finding things you like to do that count as exercise. Hiking, running ( I was NEVER a runner, anyone can do it!, I started out 1 min run/jog 5 min walk and repeat now Im running in a ten mile race this weekend 2 yrs later:) snowboarding, tennis, swimming, etc. And…
  • I def use one! Got it at freddies no idea how much or what brand, no namer:) but it sure does the job. Eyeballing leaves too much room for error. Even things I used to measure with a cup I use the scale now and I see where I was over measuring some things. I dont intend to use one for forever but until I get to my goal…
  • Thank you for sharing your pics!!! What an amazing transformation! You look GREAT! Good job, keep up the great work! I know sometimes its not easy, when it gets too much I take a break, but come back to it:) your doing it!!!!!
  • Your body plateaus and its so normal! It may be that your doing the same thing that is keeping you stuck. When that happened to me it happened for MUCH longer than a couple weeks. I changed several things, I upped my workouts (cardio, and strength, and length of time I do them as well as pds I was…
