I just eat a regular meal, usually lunch.

You don't have to be in shape to do CrossFit. But you do want to make sure that you go to a CrossFit gym that has good coaches. Definitely let the coaches know about your shoulder. CrossFit can be hard on the shoulders. I hurt my right shoulder several weeks ago because I got sloppy with my form on ring dips. Now I try to…

Have you checked your local library? Borrowing a book might give you a better idea if you want to buy it or not.

Experience Life magazine just had an article about making your own salad dressings. Make adjustments as needed to make paleo. http://experiencelife.com/article/dress-up-your-salad/

Well to be honest, I think that practice, i.e., doing lots of burpees, would be most helpful. But maybe breaking down the movements and working on them separately would help too? So practicing squats, planks and push ups. Or perhaps work on an easier version, perhaps eliminate the push up part. Also don't feel like you…

I wear New Balance Minimus (road version) for CrossFit. I don't wear them for runs over 800m long though because I did that once and my calves/achilles were sore for days. However, I do think the Minimus could be worn for longer running but it's something I'd have to build up to and I haven't bothered to do so.

Enjoy the CrossFit! I started CrossFit back in October and really like it even though I still need to scale pretty much everything. I'm currently dealing with some shoulder pain due to CrossFit. It's helping me to learn to keep my shoulders in a good position that's for sure. Have the coaches given you some mobility…

Amazing progress! You are looking wonderful!

Your body won't change overnight so I think as you go along you can assess how you look and adjust your training/diet to make sure you have enough body fat to not look more muscular than you want. Who knows though? Maybe as you train and see what you are capable of you might appreciate looking muscular.

When I started CrossFit at my box (about 8 months ago), the heights typically were 24/20. Now they are 30/24. But, of course, we can do whatever we feel comfortable with. Right now I have two bruised, cut up shins from a box jump fail on Monday. We were doing 1 rep max height box jumps. We were doing them on these big blue…

I have a fear of box jumps also. It's a very mental thing. Found this article, maybe it will help? http://crossfitwatertown.typepad.com/index/2008/03/might-as-well-j.html and this video http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_BoxJumpVariations.wmv

I've been doing CrossFit for about 8 months and I still get nervous. Our coaches are usually pretty good about doing introductions, especially when they know someone is new. When I first began CrossFit, I would try to chat with others by first asking how long they've been doing CrossFit. Glad you are enjoying it so far!

Just occurred to me that it sounds like the man in the video is my coach. What I meant was that my CF coach posted a link to the video (slo mo snatch) on Facebook.

My coach posted this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rZV5P3cAa4&feature=youtu.be.

You might find this post at The Clothes Make the Girl helpful/interesting http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2011/10/31/hunger-vs-emotional-appetite/

We do similar to what BrendaB posted. I'm very weak with snatches; they kind of scare me. My coach also recommends working on improving snatch grip deadlift and overhead squat before trying to snatch heavy.

When I started CrossFit, I wore my running shoes and that was fine. After awhile though my running shoes started feeling too bulky so I got some New Balance Minimus shoes for CrossFit. But you should be fine with a normal gym shoe. Have fun!

I use the recipe from The Clothes Make the Girl/Well Fed also. Store bought mayo freaks me out now.

There is a primal/paleo support group on MFP. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/54-primal-paleo-support-group

Back in January I did a paleo challenge with my box and was able to be pretty strict for 30 days. I was really surprised by how much better I felt. My energy levels were good and stable. Joints felt better. Sleep quality improved. Skin improved. Even had some hair on my head grow back. But I didn't lose very much weight. I…

I just pinned that yesterday as a reminder to myself. So far it hasn't gotten that hot but I know it will.

I go into most WODs feeling afraid but they all end up OK. I've walked out thinking, "dang, I can't believe I did that." We practice the movements before the WOD and figure out what we need to do for scaling if necessary. As others have mentioned, break it down into manageable sets.

I'm starting to think I'm not working hard enough. I'm usually last to finish and will be sore the next day but I generally don't feel that tired for the rest of the day. I CrossFit in the morning and often run some errands right after. I don't eat anything right after.

I've been curious about those but haven't tried yet. Good to know about the fruity taste. I saw a recipe for making your own using a dehydrator but I haven't gotten ambitious enough to try it. http://girlgoneraw.com/recipes/files/129dd28792332e6e97cd0dd6c1ef78ef-61.html

it often depends on the individual. Some people can tolerate foods others can't. Anyway, perhaps try eliminating potatoes for 30 days and see how you feel. Then add them back in and see how you feel.

Greek yogurt has more protein usually. I no longer eat yogurt but when I did I really liked the Fage brand. I would eat it with homemade granola (which I no longer eat).

Mine is $150/month for unlimited classes with a 2 year contract. One year contract is $165. 6 months is $180. 3 months is $195/month. I first signed up for 6 months. That ended in April. Now I'm on a 2 year contract. CrossFit seems pricey but if you find a good box with good coaches it is well worth it.

I would try drinking black coffee. I used to drink sweetened coffee with cream but I now drink it black. Occasionally I might use half and half but I think I prefer just black now. For me, it helped to switch to a darker roast coffee because that seems like it has more flavor.

Cauliflower rice. Grate cauliflower. Can steam in microwave.
