Have hit my face with bar a couple times. Once failed a back squat but struggled to get bar off my back because it got tangled up in my pony tail. eta: Massive fail on 24" box jump. Banged up both shins with some nice bloody gashes. Biggest fail though is ignoring shoulder pain for 8 months and then find out I have a full…

I've made these before. They were good.

Step ups are allowed for the box jumps.

Yay for starting CrossFit! Have fun!

I signed up about a year ago but I never got into the habit of using it. My box uses CF Whiteboard (http://cfwhiteboard.com/) so I just log on that now.

Glad your broth turned out yummy. Thanks for posting about the continuous broth. I had never heard of that, very interesting.

I felt the need to get Hello Kitty ones lol so I ordered from a seller on Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/listing/110970782/hello-kitty-crossfit-wrist-wraps?

Everything can be scaled to something you can do so I wouldn't worry about not being able to do things. Right now I have a bad shoulder and can't hang from the bar. For toes to bar I have subbed stuff like v ups, toes to bar on floor (lying on back, holding pole of pull up cage and kicking legs over to the pole), leg lifts…

Kalsu. And I did it scaled.

My fave way to cook chicken is to slow roast it. See this recipe http://www.cyber-kitchen.com/recipes/Foolproof_Sticky_Chicken.htm. I usually make 2 at a time because that is how I buy the chickens. You can make chicken broth on the stove top in a regular pot. Just simmer for awhile. You can google for specifics. Pressure…

Been doing CrossFit for over a year but can't do DUs. But I don't work on them enough either. I just get too frustrated and give up. Can do singles easily though.

I've been doing CrossFit for over a year but have never heard of Advocare.

I've always thought blending was crucial but there a few people at my CrossFit gym who don't bother to blend. They just stir it up and drink. I don't make bp coffee that often but when I do I use a Magic Bullet. I have a stick blender but never thought to try that. I just get some sort of dark roast Starbucks ground…

I watched the women's one. Probably what I found most interesting was the code that they had to remember. But then the video ended before they got to that part at the end. Did they remember it? Interesting challenges.

47:21 and I scaled a lot of it.

Yes, I no longer feel the need to chew gum or eat mints all the time.

Various people donated to the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society on his behalf and he did one burpee for each dollar.
-
A guy at my box recently did 1180 burpees in one day to raise money for a charity (one burpee per $1). I feel that I can never complain about burpees ever again.

I've heard of people reacting negatively to dark chocolate that had soy lecithin in it.

I have never made my own kombucha but there are a couple of people in the Paleo Lifestyle group on Facebook who are doing it. One guy made his own scoby using the info from http://www.foodrenegade.com/how-to-grow-a-kombucha-scoby/.

That's great that she took time to research the program and even try it out.

Are lemon bars breakfasty? I made this recipe (http://civilizedcavemancooking.com/grain-free-goodies/lemon-bars/) and I thought they were good. My kids didn't agree but they are very picky. I haven't had much luck with paleo baked stuff otherwise. http://paleomg.com/ has a bunch of recipes that might work for you. Haven't…

What about a fresh fruit tray? And maybe yogurt if you eat that. Perhaps some chopped nuts, coconut flakes for topping?

I get worried if I'm not sore because it means I could have pushed myself harder.
-
I would try to avoid eating anything sweet tasting because to me that just positively reinforces sweet cravings. I'd try eating something fatty. Or maybe something sour, like a pickle.

I like Nutiva also. I once ordered Tropical Traditions gold label coconut oil. When I got it, it smelled a little sour and tasted smoky and didn't smell or taste coconutty at all. I posted a comment on their Facebook page because I wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience. They deleted my comment, which wasn't…
