There are currently major issues with the syncing between the Fitbit site and MFP... you should check out the Fitbit Users group here for more info. The problem had been identified and Fitbit is admitting the problem, but they have yet to upload a "fix" for the issues.

Just out of curiosity -- why force yourself to eat them if you don't like them? Not trying to be snarky (honestly!), but I never understood why people feel the need to eat something they can't stand because it's perceived as "healthy." Aren't there other foods you *do* like that will provide the same nutrients you want?

Tried it once... Meh. When I want something post-workout or for an afternoon "jump," I'm more of a Monster Rehab gal. Love the Rojo Red or the Protean (yes, they spell "protein" incorrectly!). The Java Monster Light Vanilla one isn't bad either for those who like iced coffee.

You could eat dog poop in conjunction with a low-calorie diet and lose weight...probably more because you'd have even less of an appetite. It's not the ketone, it's the LOW CALORIE DIET. Eat right and exercise, and the weight will come off. Period. End of story. Don't waste your money -- save it to buy smaller clothes.

Yeah, I felt a little like that at first. I've lost over 100 pounds (84 since starting MFP), and used to get upset at all the "parts" I was losing. Then I started to think of all the OTHER things I was losing: migraines, various aches and pains, high blood pressure, the likelihood of developing diabetes.... see where I'm…

It's not sarcasm -- believe me, if I were being sarcastic you'd know it. The point I'm trying to make is that you can't always control your environment... you can only control yourself. People post rants like this QUITE often, and use it as an excuse as to why they "caved in" and stopped for fast food on the way home from…

I'm now waiting for the suggestions of how people who bring in "unhealthy food" to work should be forced to heat it up and eat it far away from the rest of the employees. Should they be asked to go outside like smokers are? Segregate them into a small area of the cafeteria and surround them with air purifiers? "ZOMG --…

Same here. I've always had "tricky" knees and ankles and the impact of running/jogging can leave me in pain for days. I have an elliptical machine at home which suits me just fine. Even if I *could* do it, however, I wouldn't -- I prefer the climate-controlled comfort of my exercise room to having to navigate traffic,…

Always drove a stick, and always a VW: '72 Beetle, '84 Golf, '98 Cabrio, '02 Beetle, and my current '11 Jetta. Love 'em!!!

My drivers license says I'm 43... then again, it *also* says I weigh 180 pounds. Lies!!! I feel more like a kid, and haven't seen 180 pounds in more than a year and a half. The 40's have been very kind to me so far!

I think posters like the OP generate the "mean responses" by riding into these forums on their high horses and looking condescendingly down on others. I love the whole moral indignation of the originators of posts like these... like they have NO blame for why they now need to lose weight/get in shape/etc. It is a sad…

I'm here every single day ... weekends, vacations, whatever. Life is 24/7/365, not "every day except for the weekends, 'cause those don't count." Weekends may be downtime for some of us, but not an excuse to forget why we're here in the first place.

OK... I am sitting here in a Gryffindor t-shirt, camouflage pants and a Tinkerbell necklace, watching Cartoon Network, and planning out garb for my next Ren faire. I'm a grown-up, all right.

Would a ren faire-attending, EQMac-grinding, classic D&D-playing, Tolkien-loving, Star Trek-obsessed 40-something year old be considered a nerd? Or a geek?

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not seeing any sarcasm here. You started a post, people tried to help, then you jump on them for trying to give you suggestions. If you really want sarcasm, I'm sure there are plenty of people here who would be happy to oblige... Don't expect to put something out there for all to see and then…

I have skin issues as well -- rosacea, which is essentially a painful form of acne. Since I started working out (and yes, sweating a LOT!!), I have found that it has actually *improved.* Here are a few tips for you: * Drink LOTS of water to help keep you hydrated. * Make sure your face is clear of any products before you…

*THIS* sounds familiar! I have a really hard time even thinking about a day without some sort of exercise now -- a far cry from the couch potato I once was. I'm considering tomorrow to be a "rest day," but that is only because I'm skipping my kettlebell workout and only doing an hour on the elliptical. I'm even starting to…

Syntrax Nectar Sweets in either Chocolate Truffle or Vanilla Bean Torte... a little on the spendy side, but oh-so-yummy. I even mix it into recipes (pancakes are m'love's fave) to give a little protein boost.

I really like their Kids ZBars... the iced oatmeal cookie one is the BEST! Great for a pre-workout snack...

I work in insurance, and have three words for you: DON'T. DO. IT! No amount of nostalgia is going to make up for the headaches and hassles you are about to encounter. Yes, it needs to be insured to drive it home, but good luck *finding* insurance - most insurance companies will not take on the risk. That car has been…

Anything by Jane Austen... great cures for insomnia, her books are. Other than that, I loved every other book I was "forced" to read -- in fact, I'd already read most of them by the time they were assigned for class. I guess I'm just a literature geek.

This is the change in 18 months for me (from about three weeks prior to starting MFP):

Wait -- how did I miss this thread?!?!?!?!? IWG Local 24/Privateer/RenMerc here!!! *waves* I live in Rhode Island so I really don't have a "home" faire, but m'love and I spend most of our time at the fall CT Faire in Hebron. We first got hooked back when King Richard's opened in Carver, MA (yes, we've been going every year…

These sound yummy... Pop Tarts are one of the few things I rarely eat anymore because of the almost total lack of nutrition in them, so these just might be a viable substitute!

I'd friend ya just for having the J-E-T-S in your ticker...

Yeah, I went into a VS years ago and was told they didn't carry "my size"... it made me embarrassed and angry, and I swore I would never shop there again. Fast forward to now: I have (literally) worked my *kitten* off, and fit into their things. I don't care *who* their target audience is -- I don't watch their fashion…

It *can* be done... but if you stick around here long enough you WILL start eating better. I was pretty much in the same spot as you, and I too cannot STAND the taste of most vegetables (they all seem to taste like dirt to me). All I did when I started was to just eat less of the things I was eating before, and got off my…

Because those exercise calories can be pretty darned tasty, that's why! Do I always eat them back? Sometimes... and sometimes I don't.... sometimes I only eat half of them.... and occasionally I plan a big workout so I can go out and enjoy that bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries and still meet all my macros…

Spanx... they're a girl's best friend. If they're too spendy for you, they also make the ones sold at Target under the label Assets. Perfect under even short skirts!

I'm 5'2", and have been maintaining (hovering between 116/120 pounds) since March...
