I have an answer for everyone! Join the military. I'm about to graduate my bachelors and I have almost zero debt. =-)

I have one big one... I was with my friends looking at peopleofwalmart.com... one of the guys who was bigger than me commented that the picture we were looking at and said that I was bigger than the person in the picture. The funny thing is that this comment gave me the motivation to lose my weight and that same guy is…

I'm exmilitary and my number one concern for the camelbak was the sloshing. I never in the 8 years I served had this cross my mind. What a brilliant idea! Now I think I'm going to use that camelbak on my long runs. Awesome!

i've been a member for a couple years now bro, its not just a woman thing nowadays. Add me.

if you put the treadmill on a 1% grade incline it will fix that for you. Whenever training for any races I have read that increasing the grade of incline will simulate the effect as if running outside. I ran outside yesterday for the first time this year and I have improved my endurance by following this method.

Be careful running everyday, you could easily get an overuse injury which is something like IT Band Syndrome or stress fractures. Your connective tissue needs to adapt to the increased activity before you can go much further than you are now. Try cross training like swimming or biking on alternate days. Connective tissue…

I eat every 3 hours. 6am, 9am, noon, 3pm, 6pm, and 9PM. So I always have a good snack before bed. I know they say its bad to eat before bed, but if you're under your calorie goal, who cares. Make sure its something that will last you until you fall asleep.

I gain and lose the same 5 lbs daily. But my fluctuation seems to be going down. I have a steady diet and focus on my sodium to ensure its not just water weight. I weightlift too (p90x), so my body is supposed to be fluctuating. Depending on how sore you are, you could gain weight because your muscles retain more water…

I'm in! =-)

Its a simple "change". You simply need to have the moment when you've had enough and are ready to make the actual change. I always do this, and it took me awhile to realize that I need to step out of my comfort spot and do something about it. I used to eat out and say, well just this once. I finally was able to realize…

I think this is the best Idea. Ask them if you can take some home so you can add it to your calorie counter. My coworker actually posted on fb that she was bringing me in some pulled pork sandwiches. I just added it to my calorie counter for the next day and ate what I added. This was actually yesterday. So, just be smart…

like he said, its not possible to lose "belly fat", its body fat, everything burns at that same rate. You can build muscle which burns more calories, but I doubt you want to be bulky. Just have a calorie deficit everyday and you'll eventually see the results. 500 cal deficit time 7 days is 3500 calories or 1 lb per week of…

I love that game.

Ignore them. Stay strong. Be happy with your choices because many others are going through the same thing. My friends do the same thing, and I'm a dude. They have chinese food every Wednesday, and its a challenge for them to try to get me to do it. It's just a way for people to try to drag you to thier level. It's human…

the best way to track calories burned is the HRM, your HR could be pretty high for a pretty long time, and 45 minutes is a long time to miss out on the opportunity to know how many calories you burned. Its a good investment in my opinion.

throw some oj, frozen berries, and 1/2 a banana in a blender and make a smoothie... breakfast of champs.

In your case, if you have something you like to do, just challenge yourself at that. Keep up with the Spinning. Save the money. If you need a new challenge, wait till the baby goes to bed or something and do Insanity. Just a thought though, Insanity probably is the fastest way to burn calories that I have found. My friend…

Dude, honestly, I think you're probably one of the coolest people I have ever had the pleasure to read about. I hope things work out for you, and if you ever need some inspiration, this forum definitely welcomes a great person like you. Good job brother! Welcome back to life! Keep up with the workout!

oh, by the way, checkout www.meatlessmonday.com, its an actual real thing. lol...
-
agreed! Have your hot chocolate, just make sure you stay below to keep your deficit. =-)
-
Get a heart rate monitor... find one with a calorie tracker. However long you workout, depending on your hear rate, your calories will display accurately.
-
yep, make some friends, read some topics, and make some goals. we're all in this together. ;-)
-
I recommend trying one of the challenges on the forums. Join a group thats doing some kind of challenge. It has changed the way i think about losing weight, its mostly about me just being motivated. Groups motivate me.
-
I've mixed p90x and insanity. Insanity will keep you at your high heartrate. My high is 170, and i'm there the majority of the workout, very quick way to burn calories.
-
Ya, I've read this before also. I know the reason its happening, its still a very big downer when you get to a goal that makes you happy and motivated, then all of a sudden, you gain 5 lbs. lol...

-My mom told me that I'm the only man in her life that has never yelled at her... not once. -I've never even been 1 day late on child support, even though my ex think i'm the worse person in the world. -I served 1 year in Iraq. -I'm a disabled vet, but I'm training to run a marathon next year and a triathlon the following…
