agree with above comments -- shoes and stretching. proper running shoes made all the difference for me. remember dynamic stretching before your workout and static stretching to cool down. good luck and have fun!

i read somewhere (and consistent with my own experience) it takes 4 weeks for you to see a change in your own body, 8 weeks for your close friends and family, and 12 weeks for everyone else. keep pushing on! :)

after trawling forums the Koss clip on headphones seem to be unanimously a good recommendation. i got one for $20 and they're durable as heck. best sound quality for its price.

I totally vouch for the C25K program too. It eases you into the idea of running and builds up your stamina gradually. I never thought I could run -- or enjoy it! Stick with it and you'd be so impressed with yourself. :)
