  • Congratz! This is superb! Just on a side note, I feel weight loss makes us look good not only because of the actual weight loss but because we are motivated to dress differently and try out new things! All the best! Keep going! You are a huge motivation for me!
  • The discussion boards here really keep me going. Its nice reading about people working towards the same goal. I'm still new yet, so not many friends. But the discussion forums and groups really give me the motivation.
  • I am from Sri Lanka. When it comes to food choices, what I do is, 1. Cut down on my rice, roti (anything with flour) intake. 2. Increase vegetable portion size. 3. Cut down on dhal(very high in calories) intake. I mean to stop eating dhal entirely.
  • Actually I have the bloated feeling, but after I started drinking more water it actually reduced. I guess its a choice between the two extremes. I usually drink water before my meals and not after, and that really reduces my hunger.
  • Wow cool ideas! I was thinking of pre-planning my food and am taking all your suggestions into consideration!
  • I actually don't understand your Math. My diary is set according to my height and a target of 1lb per week. 1200 was what MFP set me, I didn't set it personally. At present I'm actually overeating 200-300 calories.
  • Hi! This is a really cool idea and a great motivator. I'm a 22 year old undergrad, currently at 60kg and 5'2". I've got 10kgs (20lb) to lose and badly need to tone my muscles. So lets get started!
  • Cool! Will definetely try it out!
  • 5' 2 1/2" LOL! I'm petite and my dream weight would be somewhere between 46-48kgs!
  • Find something you actually like doing as exercise:). Now, I'm a person who hates sports and all forms of exercise in general, but I've recently discovered that I love doing zumba. Mean to move on to other dancing when I lose some more weight. I find that exercising in a group setting and set times are the most effective.…
  • I am Asian, thus the unfamiliarity of food for you:). They are home prepared meals. Hmm...yes, I will give eating products a try:)
  • I do not yo-yo diet anymore. And if I ate as much as to satisfy my hunger, I'd well exceed my calorie limit!
  • I'm Asian too! I am 5 2'1/2" and 60kgs. I used to be 55kgs but gained 5kg over two months, and you can imagine the comments I get! I think we get the pressure about being too fat is that there are extremely few obese Asians. I am not sure about the reason, but I think its because the foods are more healthier a.k.a. lacking…
  • I wish MFP included another feature like, "If you go at this trend, you'll weight <this much> in 5 weeks." taking into account the trend through a long period of time. It would be much more accurate and motivating, I think.
