Thank you for the insight. I am going by my heart monitor which is the kind you mentioned. I would rather be safe and go by the lower calorie burn. I might also try placing the info int eh machines to see if they produce a closer calorie count.

Thanks. I am doing all that. I am hoping the heart rate monitor can help me to figure out what I am burning each day and I hope to go see a nutritionist in January to help me figure out the next step. But I have lost over 70 lbs in the past year so I am almost to my goal weight. It just seems to get harder the closer I get.

Yep it surprised me when I read it. But I was stuck on my weight loss and not moving for 3 months and a gal at the gym told me about it so I checked it out and changed my habits. Look at the research on line regarding fat burning and alcohol. You can Google it and see what it has to say. What I read was that it reduces your ability to burn fat by 75% for 24 hours!
