Looking at my measurements over the past year, I lost from my waist and hips first.

I love the morningstar chik'n grillers - they are vegan and only 80 calories. However, I don't eat a ton of frozen stuff just because I avoid a lot of processed foods now... but they're really great and tasty when I do have the craving or need something quick.

You look GORGEOUS! :)

My current boyfriend is 6'3". Most of the guys I've dated have been around that height, with the tallest being 6'8" and the shortest being my height at 5'11". I like dating the tall, big guys... it also helps to make me feel like I'm not gonna crush him if I wanna sit in his lap or something.

I was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri at age 25, which is a condition that can lead to blindness. Weight is known to be an issue when dealing with PTC, and maintaining a healthy weight helps to reduce the brain and eye pressure associated with the disease. I already suffered some permanent vision loss and distortion in…

I'm 5'11" and love it! Although I won't lie, sometimes it's extremely annoying to find shoes for size 12 feet - that's my only complaint. :P

I gotta second this. I saw this on Ally's status the other day and made it as well, with a few changes (because I didn't have everything). Made it with whole wheat linguine and fresh tomatoes... so good! Made it a second time last night with seitan in it and it was delicious as well.

Very cool, let me know how you like it! I really love seitan, especially cooked with pasta or rice. I also bought some tempeh (never had it before), but I've always heard other veggies talking about it. If anyone has any tips or recipes they really like with it, toss me a suggestion. :)

What's up, veggies! How you had a beautiful Tuesday. :) About to enjoy some whole wheat pasta with seitan strips and veggies - yum!

I've always been a tomboy and do not wear any makeup whatsoever. I tried it once when I was 16, hated the way it felt, and promptly washed it off. I try the very best I can to just take care of my skin and moisturize. I've never had any issues with men or getting a boyfriend as a result. If I had men who only wanted me…

Big, HUGE hugs! Break-ups are always tough and sometimes nothing else helps comfort us but time and hugs. I'm really sorry that your relationship ended, I know how difficult that can be. If you're ever feeling low or need someone to talk to, don't be afraid to hit me up. I really hope that you start feeling better soon.

Thanks for the almond milk suggestions tex_vegan, milanks, and bettyboop! I also found this and thought it was interesting: http://planetgreen.discovery.com/food-health/organic-almond-milk.html It seems easy enough and I have all the ingredients on-hand; it only keeps for five days though. I'd still prefer to have some…

It really is a great tool, I agree! It definitely helps me keep track of everything that I need and it couldn't be more convenient. Plus the support from the community is a nice bonus! :D

Hey, can you guys recommend a good brand of almond milk? I've always used soy and really like it, but wanted to try out some different things. I'm hoping to find one that's tasty when drunk on its own, but also suitable for baking. Toss me some suggestions if you have some please! :) @IceGodess - Whatever it may be, I hope…

Are your calories drastically lower than they were prior to your vegan diet? If that's the case, it could just be the sudden change to your caloric intake - definitely make sure you're getting enough fuel for your body. :) Also, are there any new foods in your diet that you haven't had before? Food allergies can cause…

You look gorgeous! Fantastic job! :)

Just looked at the recipe, and I am DEFINITELY trying that. :) How'd you like the Kind Diet overall, by the way? I was looking at it a while ago and thought about buying it, but ultimately purchased Vegan Planet instead. I would've bought both if I wasn't strapped for cash so much lately. :P

Ditto.

The Quinoa and Black Bean Chili sounds really good! I have most of the ingredients, so I may give it a try tonight... thanks for the suggestion! :) A lot of my meals have been quick lately, but I actually managed to cook this morning and made some delicious vegan pumpkin pie pancakes:…

Since you just said "veggie," I wasn't sure if you were vegetarian or vegan, so I included dairy stuff too. Sorry! D: Hopefully some of this list is helpful though - I just listed stuff off the top of my head that I'm so used to looking for now, but I would be interested in hearing what others might have to add. -Geletain…

To add onto desertcats post, which is wonderful and full of great tips - you can also use applesauce as an egg replacer when baking; it offers the same consistency and is quite suitable in every recipe I've ever made that included eggs. Nutritional yeast is also a good cheese replacer when baking/cooking new recipes, and…

I mean no personal offense, but this is plagiarism. This is practically word for word (aside from switching out a word here or there or slight alteration of sentence structure) and portrayed as your own personal opinion on the matter, without proper credit given to the original author. Tom Venuto originally wrote about…

Eggs, greek yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, milk, non-dairy milk, beans, nuts, peanut butter, protein powder, tofu, soy, tempeh, quinoa, lentils. That's an incomplete list, but there are a LOT of great and easy ways to get protein as a vegetarian, and even as a vegan. You just have to find some protein-rich foods that you…

Did the Step by Step first night and the Activate tonight. So fast, but so good! :)

My number agreed with the VO2 number assigned by my FT60 from the fitness test.

It's wonderful to see so many others here. Feel free to add me if you like! :)

Amazing job - you look beautiful! And Happy-soon-to-be-Birthday as well! :)

Changing things up usually breaks my plateaus (I've had three short ones). Zig-zagging calories, meaning you go slightly under your regular calorie consumption on some days and slightly over on other days, remaining at the same total calorie count for the week that you would have otherwise. Changing up your exercise…

I just got the DVDs as well, I'm about to start it tonight. :) Count me in for the group!

Not eating your exercise calories will leave you with a huge deficit for today. However, if you're not hungry, I wouldn't force that many calories on yourself this late at night either. One day of having such a large deficit will not hurt you, but I just personally wouldn't make a habit of it every day - but that's me and…
