That us where my confusion was coming from. For whatever reason I was not thinking of how many grams of protein was in the food, only the weight of the food. (Blonde moment!!) However, how would I know how many pounds of lean mass I have? I use a scale with body fat percentage, but I know they are ridiculously unreliable!

I have the same problem! Like there will be two food entries totaling 400 calories, but their daily calories at the top will be 1500 out of 1550 total for the day. I weigh everything, including liquids (while in their measuring cups). I don't use grams though, I use ounces. Does that make a huge difference? I just use an online converter if I find something in grams in the database to know how many ounces it is. But I routinely see everyone using grams as opposed to ounces. My scale…

I didn't have an "ah ha" moment. A coworker showed me the app on his phone and it was so much easier than writing everything down in a food journal so I went with it! :) I love the sense of community and not going it alone here!

My right is 18.5 and my left is 19.5, they have definitely gotten smaller, I believe I've lost an inch and a half off of each. I too would like to see before and after of people with big calves that now have skinny calves! :)
