That is such a good technique @Merrysix and well done on being able to do squats without the pole.

Whenever I feel like giving up I go something different. To switch up my regime I went swimming a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Also, if I feel like I am at a stalemate I just do one thing differently, like try a new workout or swap something in my meal such as swap mayo with natural yogurt. Well done on going…

I would suggest to keep on practicing and making sure you stretch before start. When you do squat try to make sure you put your butt as close to the ground as you can. As some here say... *kitten* To Grass. If you have a problem with your knees be careful and possibly go and visit your Doctor or an Osteopath. Well done on…

Try to find an alternative to the things you like and give them a try. What I do now is eat clean in the week then have a relaxed eating day at the weekend, where I eat what I want. I have found that I can do without chocolate and biscuit/cookies and other sweets. This did take time but I find that I enjoy my food,…

I don't struggle with my metabolism any more because I had an awakening. Around 5 weeks ago I started eating cleaner by juicing and having more whole grains and plant based foods in my diet. I also started carrying a water flask with me wherever I went. This helped the pounds to shift. In terms of exercise I train in…

Well done for what you have done so far @ginavanhookglp. You are on the right track. Feel free to add me. I'm 47, a mum and at my heaviest was 194lb. I am down to 176 and dropping. I think the best thing is slow and steady @cdmanney because as quick as you lose it then go back to normal, the quicker you put it on. Look at…

Welcome and I am a 47 year old mum, who is also a black belt in taekwondo. Feel free to add me, and that goes to everyone else here too. I have 16lbs to go and I'm from London.

She may be jealous @kaihunter45 and let's keep hold our inner child.

Keep being adventurous I say

Well done on getting your power cage @neandermagnon. I am also returning after a couple of months away due to injury (been back 4 weeks now). I also have a home gym and am a lone parent so getting out when you want isn't easy. Strong lifts is a great programme to start with.

Welcome to strength training land @Issmith1961. I didn't have a clue on where to start so when I found out about the strong lifts programme I downloaded the app and off I went. I think that is a good place to start for newbies because you just follow what is on the app and you can modify it too. I now make my deadlifts,…

@bmele0 I must stress that I am not looking to spot reduce because I do an all over workout as well as martial arts, cycling, running and eating healthier. I actually want to develop my quads and want to know a good position to stand in. Thank you for your response @slimlifter because I now feel stronger and know now that…

That makes sense now. What is a good position or exercise to kill inner thigh fat?

What is ATG?
-
@VegasFit thank you and I got it in May.
-
Thanks @ninagray000 and I look forward to getting the book and starting the programme
-
@LenGray well done on getting that point. The main things is that you do it for yourself first because that is the best motivator. @Pinnacle_IAO that is wonderful and well done for getting to where you are. It is all about creating the lifestyle that you want and making it work for you.

Nice one @kshama2001

Buying more ingredients where you can cook them yourself will save you a ton of money. It is just me and my 10 year old son and I will spend around £60-70 per month on shopping (not sure how much that is in dollars). I don't buy processed foods any more and cook my own food. I buy veg and chop them up, put them in…

I've been there, where I thought I couldn't do it or just couldn't be bothered but, I reckon you have to change your way of thinking. If you constantly give yourself excuses and say you can't do it, it won't happen. You just have to make that change and have a goal in mind. I think most people on here have done just that.…

I have just ordered my copy. Is it an easy programme to follow?

Hello April, I am a bit of a sports nut and watch sports as well as participate in them. I run, practice martial arts, lift and cycle. I am from London and will friend you too. Others, here, can friend me too.

I have just joined your group and added a post!
-
Well done @bellis107 and I am going to do more of what you're doing. I have been back at SL for about 2 weeks and I am more motivated to keep it up and get some nice definition going!

I workout at home using and have a squat rack
-
I lift three times a week, cycle 2/3 times a week and practice taekwondo, which involves a ton of kicking. To minimise leg soreness I stretch for about 10 minutes before and after every workout. Protein after a workout help although I think a bit of soreness is good. It is a sign that you are on the right track because it…

I do 5x5 and I read somewhere that doing cardio after lifting sets the fat on fire. After my strong lifts session I am going for bike ride.

I had a 3 month break, because of a shoulder injury. Then, I dead lifted up to 150lb and squatted 107lb. I struggled on my overheads but could bench and row up to 100lbs. Because of being out for that length of time I have gone back to the beginning and have started at 45lbs on everthing except the deadlift, where I…

Thank you

Hello All, I'm 3 weeks away from being 47 and am looking to lose the last 18lbs (I lost 2lb this morning). I'm 178 and want to get down to 160 but for me it's about losing fat more than anything else. I can be someone's buddy, if they want. I lift 3 times a week and practice Taekwondo twice a week too (recently became a…
