Also in my 40's and take medicine for a slow thyroid. I run 3 miles a day, and I lift weights (this month I tried to get to the gym everyday) every other day, and to lose a pound I would have to cut off my right arm, lol. I picked Saturday as my cheat day so I can really enjoy my family. I dont eat a weeks worth of calories, I just dont study every morsal I eat, and I work out Saturday mornings. I have done WW several times, I knew all the point values for my favorite foods. Then they changed the way they calculate the points and I just felt like I didnt want to start over learning the values. It is alot of work, even with their app point calculator. I am not sure why it works, but I think it has to do with confusing your metabolism. Weight Watchers forums used to be full of post where people did this on purpose and it was proven over and over again that it indeed works. I woud love to join the challenage. My goal will be 30 miles. I have a question though, is that 30 miles total walking or do only the miles you do actually for exercise (say on the treadmill) count? Thanks!
