I go to my University's gym, but I found much success at 24 Hour Fitness. It was nice to have gym access late at night if I had a very busy day. Otherwise Gold's Gyms are a great choice

Dude. Those things can be awesome! I'll go leg press over 500lbs, do my squat routine, and deadlift - and then end my leg day with a few sets of the adduction machine (the one where you move your legs apart) It gives shape to your quads and is one of the easier exercises - I've gotten past the stares I get while using it…

I try not to look around to much for a variety of reasons. Primarily, I am highly engaged in lifting my weights and have no desire to break that concentration. Beyond that however, I do it for the purpose of being polite. When I first stepped foot in the gym I was very self-concious of my form and of my body. Not having…

They are still there, but much less noticeable. Use Mederma, coconut oil, and exfoliate frequently. Tanning helps a little too. Check with a dermetologist if they dont fade at all after a few months - the fading will be slight, there is no miracle cream to my knowledge.

As a quick note, I did not follow the plan outlined in the book. I did use it for basic nutritional information and it was a good early motivator - but I did not follow the routine or diet. As for those asking about the loose skin - its there but somewhat minimal. It has tightened a little bit but not fully. Adding muscle…

One of the first things I did was cut out diet Coke. I always used to drink it with every meal and anytime I was thirsty inbetween. Now days I will occasionally order a diet Coke at a restaurant, but water is my go to drink. Drinking a lot of water aides weightloss, and I strongly reccommend fully replacing soda with…

Quick update: Im up to about 170lbs now from 165lbs. My bodyfat has gone to about 13% but my muscle gains and lifts in the gym have also improved. Im bulking for 2 more weeks, then cutting for 2 weeks and then bulking again until September first. Pics to come.

You would have to have pretty ridiculously large (roid) abs to have them visible at 18% body fat for a male. But you are correct you will see some basic definition in WOMEN at 18%. I neglected to factor in gender :P

You can make it if you work hard enough for it. You need to do abdominal exercises regularly to first build up the muscles. Just like any other muscle building routine this will require extra protein and calories in your diet. You then need to be at least below 14% bodyfat, though usually abs only appear at 12% or lower.…

Far from it! Now its time to put weight back on! My long term goal (when I will just do maintenance) will be to weigh 190lbs at 7% bodyfat. But that is years away.

Good choice of wine and a picnic as a reward. A lot of people reward themselves with cake, ice cream, piles of bacon, KFC, etc. They then tend to get fully off track of their diet. Don't reward yourself with donuts until you've reached a stable bodyfat percentage you wish to maintain. Regardless, congrats on your success!

Yup it is really helpful. In the beginning, weighing myself everyday was a HUGE motivating force because my weight always dropped. It also prohibited me from having cheat meals because I would feel bad if my weight went up anything more than 1 pound in a day. I dont recomend this if your bodyfat percentage is low or if you…

Diets are broken. The y are simply changes to what we eat. Changing the way you live is the only way to truly lose weight and keep it off.

Tell me that next year after I've bulked and hit a hard cut ;) Good lifting with you last weekend.

No photoshop on any of the photos. Nor any other image editing software OTHER than Microsoft paint which was used to stitch together the front and side views and shrink the photos to 30% of their original size. No other alterations have been made to any of the photos.

I simply cleaned off my walls. I still love The Beatles, and I still listen to their music. I also still have some Beatles stuff lying around - just not on my walls :) Oh and it was 93 pounds total :)
