You already know the tools on how to get it done. Just like me you probably need to find a happy medium where it is a lifestyle and not a short fix. I got burnt out working out 7 days a week. So just like you I am back with some weight gain and taking 3 plus months off. Feel free to add me as well so we can motivate each…

I am starting back up too! I had some major personal problems that happened in late Oct. I was also burnt out! I worked out 7 days a week for close to a year. I need to find a happy medium. A life stlye change uknow. Just like you I gained some of the weight back. I have been back at the gym now for a few weeks. I added…

Yes I did. About a 1/2hr in to my workout the owner of the club asked if I wanted to work out with him. Honestly.........all my muscles are like Jelly......places where I didn't know there were muscles. Great way to start the 2014.

Hi Ladies I am 39 years old. I was really involved on MFP for about a year. With personal problems and getting burnt out I gave up. I only worked out maybe 3 times in Oct and Nov. I am back :) Been working out about 4-5 days a week for the last month. I now need to get my diet down again. Lookiing for that happy medium. I…

This is the same exact thing I was going to say. Don't give up, no your limits and listen to your body! There are so many things you can do that won't be hard on your knees.

Thank you for this!

This pretty much sums it up. I think the biggest concern on lifting is correct form. If you don't have correct form you are pretty much wasting your time and/or is where injury happens. You said that you used to lift so you already probably know the correct form. I would start lifting ASAP, it doesn't matter what weight…

Wow is it really that many calories that you burn? I wonder if it depends on what week you do and your current weight cause yes it kicks my butt but I dont feel like I burn that many calories. I don't keep track of my calories that I burn. I like to do this video when I am short on time and can't make it to the gym. This…

This exactly!! I honestly do not log any of that stuff. I painted the inside of my whole house, mow my grass every week (push lawn mower)....sometimes sweat. Shoot I even walked around Disney World parks for a week 8 plus hours a day. I look at that extra stuff as a bonus!

I use this stuff called Designer Whey (it has low carbs and low sugar and higher protein) Bonus is it tastes like milk shakes or if I add greek yogurt it is like a smoothie. I love them. I drink them to help build my muscles back up from lifting heavy (well what I consider heavy haha) It really has nothing to do with…

Here are a few of my favorite things to eat Most of the time for breakfast I have my protein shake with some fruit. (mainly cause I workout early in the morning). If I have more time I will make scrambled eggs with turkey bacon and whole grain toast. Lunch idea's~ Honestly a lot of times I eat my leftover meals from dinner…

YAY!!! CONGRATS!!! That is awesome! I too was on a huge high when I was told normal weight. Then I looked at my trainer and said wait, I was obese before? I mean I new I was over weight but obese........now understanding when you are over 30% you are considered obese.

Haha so true!!

I agree with this poster!

I get up at 4:30am, in the gym by 5am ......after one okay sometimes two cups of coffee. Add me if you would like, always looking for motivators :)

This is what I was going to say as well. I find it a lot harder to go after work. The first couple of weeks getting up before the sun rises is kinda hard, but you get used to it. That way you aren't even a wake enough to come up with excuses and you just go. Then your workout is done for the day. I am a single mom too, so…

This is pretty much what I was going to say. Before I got a trainer I watched a lot of videos and looked up info on the internet to get ideas and get the correct form. I also watched certain people at the gym to get ideas and watch there form. Correct form is very important when lifting. I still do cardio, about 20-30 each…

I am 38, single mom to two kids! I am in ladies...and one guy :)! I have really notice as I am getting closer to 40 how much harder to is to lose weight. When I was in my twenties, if I just thought about losing weight it would come off. So I am in! This is good timing too cause I am kinda wondering what happened to my…

Hi Everyone! Feel free to add me aswell

I was going to say Zumba too! That is what I started off with. It is a lot of fun and a GREAT workout. Just like other people said walking and biking is another good workout. It is true.......working out is addicting. I hated it when I started. Now I miss it when I don't workout for a day.
-
Agree!! I started lifting heavy 10 weeks ago. I did my current results last night and I only lost 7lbs but gained 7lbs of muscle. I went down 8 inches all over! I also do cardio, but I love lifting! These results also would not have happened if I would have not changed my food also. What I do is 20-30 min cardio along with…

This exactly! I don't count any of these because I did it when I was fat. This last weekend I painted all day on sat and part of sunday along with yard work. I look at it as a perk :)
-
I worked out 6-7 days a week. Hard! I was in a challenge at my gym and I lost about 8 inches everywhere in 6 weeks. If I remember correctly I lost 3 in my stomach. I also ate very clean. I wish we could target areas, but it just doesn't happen that way.
-
Wow!! You look GREAT!
-
Exactly!!
-
Congrats on the weight loss so far....that is awesome! I sent you a fr. Anyone looking for new supportive friends feel free to add me aswell
-
I sent you a request aswell! and Welcome to MFP

What drives me crazy is the....WHAT DIET PILL should I take? I honestly delete people who admit taking them on my friend list. I want people to support who are working there *kitten* off like I am, not cheaters! Yeah Yeah I know they will gain it back when they stop, but I am not going to praise someone who lost 5 pounds…

My exact thought!!

This!!! Plus you will gain it all back plus some when you stop taking them
