Just make better food choices, try to avoid cravings(they do subside), drink plenty of water. A better way I think than doing a 3month/week/whatever crash course diet is this= Today is the start of the rest of your life. Make it a better one.

What do you do for normal daily job/activities? How much extra walking and other stuff did you do on holiday? That will add to the effect of losing some weight. May be a small amount, but you probably boosted your metabolism a bit and everything inside worked a little better...

3 weeks of weight training won't make 'that much' difference. Sure, a bit, but not so much. And fat is less dense than muscle so takes up more body space. Hi, The Bret Contreras program is very good and lots of folk get great results from it. You could perhaps increase your intensity, add in some sprint training to the walking sessions.
