  • This is a really interesting article around the whole exercise calorie debate - I found it when I was looking for the answer as to whether I should eat my calories back or not: http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/eating-back-calories-burned/ Still don't know whether I should or not but I am struggling to hit my calorie goal any…
  • Just finished the last workouts of Week 1 (lower focus and cardio). I'm now a limp and sweaty heap on the sofa...... !!
  • Somerset here :)
  • Did chalean burn circuit 2 tonight followed by the t25 ab intervals session - shaun t has officially killed me.....!!!!
  • Hello ladies ☺ Could I join? I have just started T25 today after buying it a couple of months ago (and then sticking it on a shelf). I have about 30lbs to lose overall and could do with knowing that I have somewhere to be accountable to. Bit about me: I am a 43 yr old female, used to run 30 odd miles a week abut couple of…
  • Hello! Found this thread after searching for t25 ☺ I am a 43 yr old female and am looking to lose (permanently this time I hope!) 30lbs. :) Used to run 30+ miles a week a couple of years ago but stopped when I changed jobs and the weight gradually crept back. Add in a relationship breakdown last year and it left me in a…
  • How are you supposed to eat LESS than your total UP burn, when you don't know what that is until the end of the day??? I'm really struggling with this and would appreciate any insight. My Up has happily told me that I need to eat XXX less calories than I burn but how the hell do I know what I will burn on any given day…
  • OK, thanks guys. Finding the UP difficult to use in terms of calorie counting etc, it just doesn't seem to work very well. The Fitbit I had is much better for that but they look flippin horrible!!!!
  • *sigh* I'm here with you on this one (no pregnancies for me though LOL). I have a lower belly that simply won't shift. Am hoping that the final 3 weeks of Insanity will help shift it!!!!
  • New to this group! :) 42 yr old female, 5ft 6, approx 148lbs in weight - want to get to about 130 (where I was 2 years ago when I ran 30+ miles a week!). Erm, about me: OH and I are doing Insanity and just started Month 2. Got the Max Recovery workout tonight :) I live in the UK; I cycle most days, horse-ride once a week…
  • Another one here :) Will be doing day 3 of Month 2 tonight.... Bit worried that I don't seem to be getting very good results though, compared to some of the pics posted here - no weight loss to speak of and although my clothes are fitting better, according to the tape measure there is nothing different in my measurements…
  • Ha, I'd like to meet the person who could SING while doing an Insanity workout, I'm lucky if I can breathe LOL!
  • Hi, no that's all I have for breakfast along with a small cup of coffee before I beign on the day's water marathon! I guess it's not so bad, as it is filling and does keep me going until lunch. I've made it differently today with no milk or apple and that's brought it down a bit to just over 300 instead :) And actually…
  • Tried that before, with the first recipe I tried - you get like two spoonsworth - which makes it pretty pointless to eat for a meal as I end up hungry about 10 minutes later :) It also looks REALLY sad in the bottom of a bowl LOL. 40g of oats is a fairly standard serving for porridge etc - the oats themselves aren't that…
  • Hi, I'm 5ft 6, currently around 148lbs, goal weight is about 130. However according to the scales we have at home my BF % is soooooooo high I'm too embarrassed to post it here - despite having completed the first month of Insanity!!!! :(
  • My NSV has been that last week I got into and comfortably wore to work a pair of trousers that 6 months ago I couldn't zip up more than half way :) Thank you Shaun T and Insanity!!!! (1 month to go :))
  • I think I have the book somewhere, I am tempted to dig it out and have another look at it.....
  • Wow - we are just coming up to the end of week 3 on Insanity. Please God let my results look like yours at Day 63!!!!!!!!!! ;)
  • Sounds like me :) My OH and are doing Insanity and we are half way through Week 3. Like you I have seen minimal losses on the scales but I generally feel slimmer. I weigh about 149lbs so not far off your stats. I wonder if your calories are a bit too low? I did the Insanity calculations which gave me about 1800-odd, and…
  • My OH and are are half way through week 3 :) We did our second fit tests on Friday and have improved on all the exercises, though I did have to lay sprawled on the floor for a while afterwards gasping for breath! In terms of weight/inch loss, it's odd - my stomach feels flatter, and tighter etc etc, but according to the…
  • Sigh. No it DOESN'T! I think this is my absolute pet hate when people talk about muscle weighing more than fat, or from my female colleagues, that if they ve gained 10lbs in a month that it "must be muscle". Grrrrrrrrrrrr. >:) Unless you live in an alternate reality, 1lb of anything will weigh EXACTLY the same as 1lb of…
  • Another "Insane" person here :) My OH and I are just coming to the end of our second week - Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs tonight with our rest day tomorrow (although we'll be horse riding!). I can say I have noticed some results - I feel tighter through my legs/abs but there's no real change so far on the scales or on my…
  • Thanks both. Never really thought of it that way :)
  • Intrigued - although I own a Garmin I use that more for running/cycling speed than anything else because that's what it's aimed at. It doesn't work for things like DVDs! But - If HRMs are not aimed at activities like Insanity, what would you say they are for? And, if they aren't for that sort of thing, is there any way to…
  • HI all sorry, I started to reply to this yesterday and work got in the way :) Imramos1, thanks for sharing your experience with me :) I have done my TDEE using a couple of different sites and the numbers are not a million miles away from the Insanity numbers? According to my calculations: =655+(9.6*68.9)+(1.8*160)-(4.7*42)…
  • The insanity calories do account for the activity done in the workouts, but not extra exercise. My garmin gives me a rough count of 230-odd calories for biking, and horse-riding I have no clue. At the moment I am not logging extra calories for exercise onto MFP.... I don't have the Insanity guide to hand, but the…
  • Hiya, no date for me at the moment but probably looking for a wedding date for next year :) Got engaged last easter!
  • Another one here :) I looked at strong lifts but would be difficult to get the equipment at home. But I have adjustable weights and Chalean extreme which works well - or will when I start again lol. I started running again last month and try to do about 5k 3 times a week and will be starting chalean again next week :)
  • What a lovely change to say people say that breakfast doesn't matter :) I also feel ill if I eat when I get up and actually for me it makes me much more likely to snack, if I do force myself to have breakfast! I tend to "break" my fast at lunchtime :)
  • Did you or your mom read the information correctly and fully? The 1000 calories is the lowest suggestion that it's safe for you to be given, but the site and the virtual nutrition thing do specify very very clearly underneath that it's a guideline and that you can eat anywhere between the 1000 cals and the maintenance…
