  • I think it depends on your starting weight and commitment level. I lost 30 lbs. in 8 weeks, but I had almost 90 lbs. to lose and I hit the gym 5-6 days a week. I was also very strict with my calories (though I did have my cheat moments).
  • I guess it depends on how you define a "cheat" day. I eat out once a week on Saturdays and I make cookies on Sundays. I look forward to these things and I've lost 28 lbs. in 7 weeks.
  • Texas Roadhouse Grilled BBQ Chicken with mashed potatoes (no gravy), house salad and rolls. I have it about once a month.
  • I have the Sketcher Shape-Ups and I adore them. I work on my feet all day and then go to school at night. My feet never hurt. Like others have said, I don't know if they've made a difference in toning, but they're super comfortable. I don't use them to work out, though. For that I switch to my plain old Reebok's.
  • Stretch. It'll increase your flexibility and cool down your muscles.
  • I work full time and am also a college student. I understand being tired. You just have to make working out and eating right a priority. If it's something you know you need to do, then you can do it. I usually hit the gym around 10:00 p.m. and work out for an hour. When I don't want to go, I work out longer.
  • Looks like we have about the same amount of weight to lose according to your ticker. I'm kind of in that depression mode as well. So, I woke up this smorning and forced myself to the gym and worked out really hard. Tonight I'm going out to eat with my friends with zero guilt and then to a show. Maybe you just need to…
  • My living room is TINY and I'm able to use it full out. I love it and don't regret the purchase at all. I don't use it to exercise as much as I should, but you can get a pretty good work out if you use it right. I use it to track my weight, mainly. It's just a fun tool to aid your weight loss.
  • Ok, I would like to start by saying that I try to eat all my calories everyday. Generally, I hit around 1000-1100 calories a day. I exercise 6 days a week, burning between 250-600 calories each day. It IS possible to do this and not feel hungry. I've visited with my doctor and he feels I'm doing everything right for the…
  • I had the same problem. I'm still dealing with it, actually. I was just introduced to Mrs. Dash, which is fabulous on potatos. There's also No-Salt, but be careful with that. The potassium is super high and can have negative health effects if you have certain medical conditions or use too much. And I just discovered…
  • I think it's going to be different for everyone (weight, age, etc.). I only eat my exercise calories once a week. I pick a day I want to eat out with friends and then work out really hard that day to build up a calorie reserve. I don't go over my calories, but I eat pretty much all of them. The rest of the week I stick to…
  • Thanks for the ideas. I do have a food scale and I use it everyday. I think what's killing me is the low fat deli meats and fat free cheese that I use a lot. I have a turkey sandwich pretty much everyday because it's fast and easy. Nothing I eat is super high in sodium, it just all adds up because nothing is sodium free.…
  • I think the best idea is just to account for anything you eat in your calories. If you go over, work out a little harder. If you can't make up for it with excerise, don't worry about it. You can't live life depriving yourself of everything you love. Just don't make a habit of it.
  • OK, it's not the end of the world to have a treat here and there. Have a small box of candy if you want, just make sure you're not going over your calories to do it. Since you're planning in advance, work out at the gym a little harder. I have junior mints every time I go to a movie and it hasn't affected my weight loss.…
  • Baked Cheetos Quaker Mini Chocolately Mint rice cakes (tastes just like girl scout cookies) Reduced Sugar Fudge Bars (only 60 calories)
  • Select Harvest 98% Fat Free Clam Chowder and some Special K Multi-Grain crackers.
  • I don't know what happened to me. I completely lost it this weekend. Went out for pasta and ate a bunch of leftover Halloween candy. Oh, and like 6 pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Not cool.
  •
  • I had meatloaf, stuffing and mashed potatos for dinner. I'm having chocolate chip cookies for dessert. However, no guilt. All are low calorie versions and all were planned into my diet for the day.
  • Thanks everyone for your comments...I'll try to keep my outlook positive.
  • I go there all the time. It's my absolute favorite place to eat out. My best suggestion is to work out really hard and earn some extra calories for the day. Why go there and only eat a salad? I would rather stay home. When I go, I have the salad without cheese and light ranch on the side, BBQ grilled chicken and steamed…
  • Congrats! I myself hit 198 yesterday morning and am ecstatic. We're in the 100 club!
  • Nope, no soda. It's definately coming from my lunch meats and the like.

  • I've been doing the 30 Day Shred for two weeks now. Kind of. I've averaged about 3-4 times a week. I did level 2 for the first time Friday night...that kicked my butt.
  • It's really worked for me! I'm a little obsessed actually...

  • I know everyone has different tastes, but I really didn't like these cookies. Not even a little. Hope everyone else has better luck with the recipe.

  • My favorite snack is a 100 calorie mini popcorn pack. It's 98% fat free, tastes really good, filling and there's a whole lot for not too many calories.
  • I've been there. A lot. I say "Today is the day I'm changing my life" and then I maybe go a day before I give in to something. And once I've given in once, it's easier to keep doing so. What made the final difference for me was really analyzing my life. I didn't have a lot going for me. Single, fat and a dead end job. I…
  • I bought my copy today and am going to try and start tonight. If not, first thing in the morning!
