I've lost 15 lbs. and have another 87 to go. I don't know what it's like to be slim and healthy, so my goal is to find out.

I am overweight as well (I weigh more than you do) and I couldn't live without dancing. I know first hand that there are a lot of people out there who will judge you for thinking you can dance, but you have to ignore them. My passion is musical theater and I have been lucky enough to work with directors who can look past…

I registered for a half-marathon on August 24th. It's not why I started this journey, but it's helping me stay focused.

You need to tell yourself you can succeed and then stick to it. Of course it's hard. If it were easy, everyone would be in shape. As soon as you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to make it work. I've been overweight my entire life and I've done the yo-yo dieting thing. I'm also 5'4'' and I started at 240 lbs, so we're…

I made these a little while ago. They're really good!!

I'm training for my first half marathon on August 24th.

These are all really great suggestions. So far, I've tried doing my home exercise videos in my socks and that has helped out a lot. I can't do that at the gym, though. :) I'm going to try the insoles.

I will give that a try. Thanks!

Started at 235. Long way to go.

I have 4 friends who have all done this. They call it a "cleanse". They all lost weight...and promptly gained it all back. Why be miserable for a week? I think it sounds gross and unhealthy.

Thank you so much for all of these great idea! I'm going to try several of them. Fingers crossed!

I took a glance at your diary. You should probably track your sugar intake. Based on what I saw, it's probably through the roof. I understand no time (me: single, full-time job, volunteer activities, picky eater, etc.). You need to choose healthier foods that are more filling. That way you can eat more without packing on…

I have a large frame and I've never been thin, so I don't know what an ideal weight for me is. I have 139 as the absolute ultimate goal, but who knows? I'd be thrilled to make it into the 150's.

chrisbcreme1- hard to say, but from the ab shot, I'd say Gaston...or Hercules.

I use it to make chicken cordon bleu. It's amazing.

Wow, I didn't realize how many people had such strong opinions around here. To each their own, I say. Personally, I gave up all soda and fast food. For me, it was because I haven't learned self-control and I know that if I eat things I shouldn't then I'll keep eating them. I've been off soda for 4 years and off fast food…

My ultimate weight loss goal is 103 lbs, although I'd be happy losing 88-93 lbs. I would love to work alongside people with similar goals.
-
My goal is 86 lbs. I lost 42 last year, but gained it all back, plus. I lost my drive and focus. I'm slowly trying to find it again.

I've been living off Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones, too. I just keep a close eye on my sodium intake. Seems to be working fo rme. :)
-
I'm proud that I've learned self-control. I can drive past a fast food resteraunt and, though the craving may be there, I can keep driving. I don't have to talk myself into going to the gym, I just go. I can order a water instead of a soda without hesitation.

I list mine as walking or running at whatever speed I was working at.

The Wii isn't the most amazing workout, but I like it. I use it on Sundays to get in a little activity because I don't want to go to the gym, but I don't want to sit on the couch all day. It's too cold and snowy to do anything outside, so it's a great solution.

I've made these and they're fantastic! The calorie total is closer to 100 than 50, though (98, I think).

I work full time and go to school full time. I'm also on the board of directors for a local theater. Time is precious these days, but I always make it to the gym at least 5 days a week, sometimes 6. It's hard, but if it's important, you make the time.
