Lean Cusine Meals...

Hey Guys! I have been basically living off of lean cuisine and other microwave-type meals like lean cuisine because I am a college student and they are easy and fast to make for me! Especially since all I have is a microwave in my room.. no kitchen! (Can't wait for this summer when I actually will have my own apartment and can COOK meals!) But I was wondering... Is that bad? I have been normally eating the same meals over and over..
& recently I've noticed the scale won't budge :ohwell: .. is it because of the lean cuisines? any suggestions?! advice?!
Thanks!

I'm in a dorm too... so i know exactly what you mean by it being hard to cook things other than lean cuisines! But, too many microwave meals can actually stop the whole weight loss thing because they are so processed and full of sodium. I usually go food shopping and stock my mini fridge with veggie bags that I can steam in the microwave, sandwich flats, fruit, oatmeal and other things that can be heated up in the microwave but arn't exactly microwave meals. Bags of lettuce and salad stuff is def a staple.0

I used to work 5 - Midnight which meant that I had to eat dinner here in the office. I lived on SmartOnes and Lean Cuisine meals. I'd bring them along with a ton of frozen veggies and nuke the veggies along with them. They were great. After a LONG time (we're talking years here) I had a bad stomach reaction to all of the processed foods and cut it out for a few years. Now I use them sparingly.
The steamfresh bags of vegetables are a god send. They also have rice and other foods. Very easy, Very good. At work too I'll make veggie burgers in the microwave and put them on the sandwich thins. Add some lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado, red onion, whatever. Yummy. I also keep a supply of Campbell's Healthy Selects soups in my drawer. That way there's always something here for me if I don't bring anything. And a box of oatmeal packages. I hate normal soupy oatmeal, so I make mine thick and I can eat it.
Make sure you're getting milk in, or taking a calcium supplement. Yogurt is great for that. Plus, you can freeze some of them and they taste awesome.0 -
Thanks ladies! Appreciate it!0

I have been eating a lot of Smart Ones and Lean Cuisine because of course it is easy and portioned well...but I was wondering the same thing! I just started doing this more out of laziness and the fact that I know how much I am eating and don't overeat, but hopefully this won't affect my weight loss. I probably should only use them sparingly though.... I have noticed that I have had less energy because I normally eat a pretty much completely clean diet Damn.. lol0
