For me personally, I know what foods trigger me to wanting more....potatoes, breads, pasta, desserts. I still allow them on occasion but they are not a "typical" item eaten daily. We each have to do what WE KNOW is right for ourself. What one person does isn't going to be right for me but maybe I take a combination of…

For me I just have different pound hand weights and do the usual bicep curls, hammer curls and others about 6 different ways. I do them 3x and 20 reps. I also do push-ups and sit-ups.

I like most of the ones I've tried, I'd say cookies and cream is my favorite but usually only have 1/2 as I find them a bit too sweet to have all at once. Very rarely do I use them as a meal replacement but if I do I'm full because of all the fiber and protein. I do prefer them warmed in the micro a few seconds

Thanks... :)

Have one like this, love it!

I didn't realize that was a feature... Good to know thanks

I've been on MFP for a few years now

I usually use my treadmill and have a setting that uses the incline frequently so I do get some changes. I know the TM is probably different then actual outside walking but when I do walk outside I need to find a more hilly walk :)
-
Happy to say I hit the 12k mark today, some of that was errands and store walking the other was 45 mins on the TM :)

Feel free to add me as well... :)

I've been in that same boat.... Mine was always a pity party... Poor me...yada yada yada I'm slowly moving in the right direction, getting my head on straight and moving forward, fully aware there will be set backs but remembering not to have a pity party but to smack that inner child and tell her to quit being such a baby!

I try to walk outside in the warmer non-icy months but also have a treadmill in my garage gym, I use the "weight loss " cycle of it which uses the incline and speed in variations

Love this! Thanks for keeping it bumped... I have spent Too much time "poor me" instead of "get up, get moving and don't look back". I have a son overseas right now in the navy and yea it is difficult, and not always fun but he gets up and does his job. What an inspiration:)

Thanks for the insight @Christine_72

How long does 10 miles take you? Do you walk in different chunks of time or all at once?
-
My nutritionist told me because of PCOS, weight will come off slower and I should exercise at least 45 minutes a day, even if just walking.
-
I need to amp up my walking that is for sure... I got lazy and quit doing on-purpose exercises but back at it!

Hey all... :) As I've read it's been said many times... I overeat when it's something that tastes good. Or if I'm at a work event. Or at a family get together. Or if I'm bored. Or if a TV commercial has something in it that triggers a "oh that looks good" thought! I had a lapband placed in 2010, my biggest realization was…

Good to know as I did not know this :)

I just figured 15% (what the website suggested). :)

Cool, thanks :)

I know you wrote this two years ago but for someone trying to understand calories and how to make things work this was an amazing read! Thank you.... I overestimate when I'm not sure and measuring really is an eye opener.. Thanks again :)

Vitamix for me... I love for shakes, they are super smooth and love making hot soups in it....

I like Quest bars but I don't typically use as a meal replacement, they are a go to bar if I'm out and about or at an event so I have something quick to grab. I do find that they are a bit sweet so if I am using them as a snack I will eat only half of one. I have decided to replace one meal with a protein shake, so I use…
