Thanks greenolivetree. That was the sort of information that I found when I googled, and I already knew that the recommended number of steps per day was 10,000 from the NHS website etc. I was wondering though whether anyone had any more specific knowledge themselves, especially relating to the activity levels here on MFP.

11 miles so far this month (6 miles bike, 5 miles walked)

I fell well short of my January goal due to a chest infection and asthma related complications, which is still ongoing. So I am going to set a fairly low target for February of 50 miles which will probably mainly be walking until I'm back on track again with my running and cycling. 50 miles is still better than sitting the…

8 miles added. Way off target, but when I set my target I hadn't anticipated this chest infection :ohwell:

My goals were: - Hit the top end of healthy BMI for my height, which is 154lbs - Have a waist measurement less than half my height - Have a body fat percentage in the healthy range I have 10lbs to go to hit the first target, but have hit the other two so I'm not going to stress too much about hitting the BMI one. If I get…

I'm not far off goal weight now, and TBH the thing that has surprised me the most is that things aren't as great as I thought they would be. I thought that losing weight and exercising more would help my asthma. But it hasn't so far. I also thought that clothes shopping would be so much easier, but it isn't. The things…

2 miles added today. Am definitely not going to hit target as my cold has turned into a chest infection, but I'm still plodding on and might make 100.

Added a couple more miles walking in the snow today
-
Right now - something warm! My running kit is Karrimor stuff from Sports Direct so very cheap and cheerful. I have running tights, a vest with a built in bra shelf (I wear a sports bra too but together they work really well), a long sleeved top and a high vis gilet as I usually run in the dark at this time of year. I have…

I agree that it would be much easier as a customer, but wouldn't it be very expensive for small businesses to implement?
