I'm using Slimfast to kick start weight loss. I've put on weight over the past 12 months because I've been working from home which means less active and closer to the fridge... I'm mostly just replacing breakfast with shakes, occasionally lunch too. I find them filling, and I find that I snack far less after having one…

Is it just me who is confused by vegans who eat cheese, eggs and fish?!

A slice of granary toast with almond butter and a glass of spinach, avocado, celery, lemon and ginger juice. Because it was breakfast...

To be honest I don't drink that much, so the calorie content of the food is going to cause more of a problem that the food ones. I'm not some teenager knocking back shots all night - those days are long gone!

I think coucou is made from cormeal, a bit like polenta. I presume the flying fish and lobster are in a stew/sauce with it.

The plan with the cocktails is to drink 1 or 2 then switch back to my usual gin & slimline tonic. I have just looked on Facebook to find the restaurant's menu. The main course choices are: Ackee and saltfish dumplings with salad with mango sauce Whole roast red snapper with peppers and cassava croquettes Flying fish and…

Welcome back! I don't know anything about gastric sleeves, but I'm back on MFP for the second time too. I joined in 2012 and lost 84lbs. Unfortunately during the past 12 months I suffered a nerve injury in my leg which stopped me running, plus changed jobs to one where I am sat at a desk most of the day. I took my eye off…

I have an office job, but have my activity level set to lightly active as I walk 3 miles a day to get to and from work, then at evenings and weekends I run around after 3 children! It would be a pain to try to log the daily walking and the day to day stuff I do with the kids, so I only log purposeful exercise eg going for…

Just in case anyone else does a search for this same question in the future - it works :-)

Good point, well made. But I was hoping someone else might have already tried it and can warn me if I'm going to wake up to a bowl of inedible stodge for breakfast tomorrow!

SW - 210 lbs CW - 154 lbs GW - 140 lbs Which looks great, except that I actually hit goal weight once and got down to 124lbs last year, but then changed jobs at the start of 2014, took my eye off the ball and the weight piled back on. I am finding it much harder to get motivated to lose it again, even though I only want to…

Tuna salad wrap (no Mayo), a packet of Sunbites and an apple. I make my own lunch to take to work, I usually make a salad but have got really bored of them. I fancy sandwiches, but am using weight watchers wraps as they have fewer calories than 2 slices of bread to make a sandwich.

Watching this with interest... I lost 90lbs by doing it slowly, it was a lifestyle change that I was going to stick to blah blah blah. I kept it off for a year. Then I got a trapped nerve in my back which meant I had to give up running. Then I changed jobs and am more sedentary. Suddenly 25lbs has piled back on and I am…

I started at 210lbs and lost about 28lbs in the first 3 months. I was really strict though. I went down about 2 dress sizes. If you are only eating 1200 calories and working out make sure you eat back your exercise calories. I personally ate more than that.

Me! I hit my initial goal weight of 154lbs (healthy BMI) back in the spring, but decided I needed to lose some more and moved my goal to 140lbs. I hit that mid July and so have been in maintenance ever since. Trouble is, I'm not very good at it as I have lost another 4lbs and now weigh 136lbs :ohwell: I'm hoping to pick up…

Have reached my goal. Well actually I have lost 1lb more than my goal... Now weigh 139lbs, down from 210 in May 2012. I am very, very pleased
