Hi everybody! I'm going to weigh in today, too, since I bought a new scale on Tuesday for $25 at Costco (after the weigh in), and I have a corrected starting weight. Unfortunately, it's 1.8 pounds higher, but I've been working hard at this new challenge this week. I'm going to keep my lofty challenge goal weight of about…

Maggie, that photo is beautiful. The look in your daughter's eye is so happy and content. I wish them the very best. When is the wedding? Tami Tigers, welcome aboard!

Lauryn, that is amazing that you drank that many fluids (see below)! I'm impressed. I got down 6 cups and thought I was doing good. 2 cups were forced. You'd think I was on a "Survivor" gross food challenge, I was making such a big deal out of it. It just doen't have any flavor! And I'm just not thirsty.…

Marci, It looks good, except for I think the Sixers post their Goal Weight for the next six weeks (not your overall goal). Hope that helps.

Welcome, Jenn! We can do this.

Welcome, Emmie! :flowerforyou:

Yes, mammograms HURT! I'm flat chested, so they take every muscle in my arm pit. My sister died of breast cancer at 39 years, so I have to check every year. I'm all for the wine, with a massage follow up. We deserve that. Great call, Lauryn! Go Sixers! Cathy(chipper).......... ......SW 231.0 lbs / GW 220 lbs / CW 231 lbs /…

Hi Alison, We learn so much from our setbacks. You learn a little faster than me! Congratulations for getting back on track! That takes a lot of honesty.

Is that 8 pounds? We can do that! I'm going to aim for the same, maybe 10, expecting no loss over Thanksgiving. See you tomorrow.

Welcome, Colie. You've made great progress on your weight loss, congratulations! Together we can all blitz the holidays. Our exercise will also help us manage that busy, 'positive stress', time of year. It's nice to meet you.

My name is Susan, I am 50 years old, with four grown daughters (two in college, two graduated and married) and two granddaughters. I love being a grandma. Oh, and even my dog is female. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 29 years. I can relate to those still in school, since I finished graduate school in…

Can you handle one more new person? All of the other challenges are in full swing, so it's nice to find a new one starting up. Count me in! I need to be accountable to someone. Thanks for being so welcoming! Susan (apple28analysis) SW 167, GW 130, CW 157 (10 pound mark - I'm in the double digits now ).

Yes, I've had that same make-over experience! I ended up with an amazing amount of light blue shadow on my eyes in the 1980s. I usually opt for the smoky eye look, so it was hard to get home (on mass transit, no less) fast enough to remove all of that eye make-up! I've have heard it suggested that we find a sales gal with…

I'd suggest that you ask for copies of your lab results. My doctor and I are trying to get my TSH to 1.0 (the 'normal' scale is .3 - 3.0, with 1.5 being the average person - and we hypothyroids tend to do best at a little below average). Keep an eye on your free T4 and your free T3 levels also. Finally, if the T4 alone…

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site, and excited to get fit and lose weight after my hypothyroid diagnosis. I'm 50, married for 29 years, and have 4 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Thanks for this thread!
