Such good advice! Thank you

Ok that's helpful thank you! Basically I'm loosely following Joe Wicks - The Body Coach but finding his HIIT work outs really hard as I've not really hit exercise since I stopped the gym a couple of years ago! I was thinking I could follow his meal plans but cut out the exercise and drop to fewer carbs! I find all this…

Aww ok but that's rubbish as I'll never stick at my target right?? 1400 plus exercise calories so am I right in saying my maintenance is around 1700 ( that includes exercise cals!) x

I raised my calories about 3-4 weeks ago now so it's been quite some time?! My clothes aren't fitting any tighter, I could track measurements that's a good idea! The scales are really becoming obsessive! But I miss the days when I used to wake up and weigh 110lbs so I'm so scared that I've out on this weight! I feel like…

I weighed my goal weight for quite some time, a good 6 weeks or so it was a fluke that I hit target! I didn't realised that increasing by 200 cals a day could cause me to gain so much weight though? X

Sorry! It is now :) xx

Again, good advice and everyone seems to be suggesting eating more which I think is the way forward given that I think my metabolism has begun to slow down and I have hit a plateau and not seeing much change. I am currently eating at 1200 cals a day but I am going to up this to 1500 for a while to see what happens! Thanks…

Thanks to everyone for the good tips and advice :) it's massively helpful! it seems that the majority think that I should be eating more. I have worked out that my BMR is 1192 and my TDEE is 1692 - any idea how many calories I should be eating? It's all so confusing!!
-
Ok so maybe I should rephrase this.....how do I get a lean stomach???
-
I cannot stress enough that I DO NOT have body image issues! I am simply just trying to find out how to get a lean stomach. I am happy with my size and weight but I just want to have a lean stomach, that's what a lot of people want so it isn't a body image issue what so ever.

Couldn't have asked for better advice....that's given me the boost I needed and I'll be right back on it tomorrow! Thank you :)
-
It's hard to not feel guilty but I guess I should just forget it and move on :) thanks peeps!

Haha I intend to do this in the morning!!
-
Any advice about cardio anyone?? Thanks :)

That's so good to hear and completely understand why it would get frustrating keep hearing that, but you are right, its media's perception because that's what I thought would happen if I lifted (that was before I posted on MFP of course :) ) I'm glad that won't be the case and I'll be lifting away from now on!! Soooo…

Haha! Thanks for this! But I'm not the one who rocks, it's everyone else helping me out! It's all new to me so just genuinely appreciating everyone's help and advice as it seems like a minefield to me as I only made these changes and choices recently after 28years of not caring what I ate and zero exercise! So happy…

Ok this sounds like good advice thank you :) I am new to weights coz I'm scared I'd get bulky and I just want to stay slim and lean but I'm taking it this is still possible even if I do lift?
-
Thanks for this! I don't particularly get as much healthy fat as I should do I guess so might be an idea to drop protein and add some healthy fats! I started my first recomp session today, I'm hoping it will lead to success! Thanks for your help :)
-
Haha! Thanks so much everyone! I think I need to get the scales out of my head and focus more on the way I look. I will definitely start with the weights, I am checking out all of the links you guys have posted now so it'll give me some idea of what to do when I hit the gym later! I usually tend to head to the gym around…
-
Ok thank you, any ideas how many calories I should be eating? I don't want to gain wait so don't want to end up over eating xx
-
Thank you all so so much! I appreciate all the advice and will look into body recomp which I have never really heard of so it's an afternoon of exploring this topic for me :) just so you know, I don't hate my body and don't have confidence issues as like I said I'm the healthiest weight I've ever been and feel great, just…

I don't feel like I need to loose weight, I'm happy with my size and weight I'm just not happy with my stomach. I wouldn't say it's noticeable, except when I sit down its podgier then I would like, and it's more lean at the sides of my stomach compared to the middle if you know what I mean? I definitely do not have weight…
