  • @conniewilkins56 that sounds amazing. We usually go to my parents for Thanksgiving and my mom cooks Sunday dinners big enough for a wedding party. Thanksgiving is usually way over the top. I bought her a food scale, for me to use while at her house for dinner lol. My basic preliminary plan is to try and hang out with the…
  • @conniewilkins56, while in theory I agree, do not reward yourself with food, in practice I dont know. I guess it depends on what terminology you use. Planning for a much anticipated higher calorie meal or treat can be a strong motivational tool for myself. I think @NovusDies probably said something similar to that before…
  • My favorite lunch date meal with my wife is olive garden. Just limit the breadsticks lol. The soup and salad are yummy though.
  • I am doing ok, thanks for asking. I went out drinking with a childhood friend last Saturday so the scale is just staring to be kind again. Drinking seems to make me retain water or something for like a week or so after.
  • @conniewilkins56 Just try to remember the scale is "the devil". The chances that you over-ate enough to actually pack on 7 lbs is extremely low. 7 pounds is 21000 calories, while I can eat and drink with the best of them 21000 calories is next level eating contest type gorging.
  • I have much more success when I prelog/preplan. Usually I do this in the morning when logging or making breakfast. I rarely plan further ahead than my current day. If I am diligent and plan it out I almost always stick to the plan. If I dont plan it out I tend to add snacks, extras that I should not.
  • While I dont think I did that on the way home, I have devoured a whole rotisserie chicken at home before. Not my favorite recollection to be sure. I laugh at myself alot when I contemplate some of the eating choices I used to make. I saw an YouTube video where someone who lost 200lbs said that their before eating habits…
  • According to my scale I have lost 8 bricks, according to my spreadsheet I should be in between 9 and 10. I want them dang bricks!
  • I am about to carry a scale out to the trash can if it doesnt start acting correctly again soon.
  • @NovusDies speaks the truth, it is amazing to see how your "true weight" shown on scale will catch up to what your "calculated weight" based on the deficit is. I made a spread sheet that tracks my true vs calculated weight and 90% of the time my calculated is lower. Then some miracle will happen and my true weight will…
  • Overnight oats, you eat them cold, they fill you up for a long time. @tinkerbellang83 had a great recipe too
  • This is a tough one. Pretty much anything food wise that I could stand to be on my face for any period of time would also be something I would eat over that period of time. I have done a cucumber mask before to appease my teenage daughter so I could probably make that work.
  • I love your updates @tinkerbellang83
  • Today is day 100. I actively began tracking calories again on July 10th. I had a hiccup for a couple weeks during and after a vacation. I have been able to reapply and get back on track. HW recorded in June: 427 SW July 10: 422 CW Oct 18: 387 LW Oct 17: 385.6 I dont have clean ROL numbers because of the hiccup of…
  • https://www.amazon.com/CAMBIVO-Pairs-Compression-Socks-Women/dp/B075JMB62P?ref_=ast_sto_dp Those are the ones that I have the most pairs of currently
  • @NovusDies I wear compression socks at work everyday almost. As you know I walk alot at work. I dont wear them much at home but they do help with foot pain, and cankle swell ups. I have found a couple different kind on amazon that are still effective while being comfortableish, and not extravagantly priced.
  • @conniewilkins56 probably similar to what you posted but I eat a lot of mission carb balance flour tortillas, 70 cal and yummy.
  • Great work everyone
  • Thanks for the ice cream recommendation, definitely one of my weaknesses is mint chocolate chip ice cream.
  • You rock, keep up the good work sir!
  • Goals for this week: Meal prep everyday for work 12k step average for the week 7hr sleep average 3 days at the gym Enjoy the forward momentum!
  • @tinkerbellang83 Great Job last week
  • Congrats @MatthewRuch
  • So the biggest difference for me this time is the largest losers support. I always wanted to lose weight. Everytime I would walk up stairs and breath hard I would say to myself I need to lose weight. I have used MFP off and on for probably 5 years. I have lost close to 100 pounds and gained it all back again. I dont know…
  • I know for me the hardest thing was getting through the first couple of days. I "started" to lose weight so many times I have lost count. Or I would tell myself I will start on Monday, or the first of the month, or after the holiday, only to never actually do anything. For someone just staring out, my advice would be just…

  • Biking does sound like a good fall exercise, maybe I will look into getting a used bike. Give me an excuse to check out the second hand/pawn shops around town.
  • Today I hit a new low weight, this is significant because it is my first new low since before my vacation. It also happens to be my 3 month restart "anniversary". I started tracking and logging again on July 10th. SW: 427 CW: 388.2 It is frustrating because on Sept. 3rd I was 389.0 but what matters is today not last month.…
  • Great Job @merph518
  • I just realized that I had not posted anything substantial in this thread. I have a ton of long term goals and it is fun to see @merph518 cross of his goals as he achieves them so here goes my list moving forward from today.* Ultimate goal, get as healthy as possible and be happy * Below 350 pounds * Below 300 pounds *…
