Ya we wont be in Pigeon Forge area long enough for Dollywood. We will probably hit up downtown Gatlinburg and maybe the Island. I am thinking the skybridge looks fun. The last time I was at Cedar Point, circa Y2K, I was probably somewhere between 275 and 300 pounds and fit on everything fine. That is still a long way down…

@merph518 I was thinking about amusement parks too. I would love to go to Cedar Point again and be able to ride the rides. I wonder what size you need to be to fit into those seats? Maybe that is a new long term goal for next summer.

@NovusDies, I agree with you. What will happen towards the end of my journey, the last few pounds just seems so far away. I guess my rant and issue has more to do with terminology. I dislike the term diet, I think of what I am doing is a lifestyle change. I am trying to create a healthier lifestyle not a temporary change.…

A big one for me was booths at restaurants, I havent been to the theater since losing some weight though. I am curious now.

I dislike the notion of a diet break, or maybe I just dislike the term break depending on the meaning or context. I believe that myself and most humans for that matter are creatures of habit. Momentum and motion in something that has significance and when you break that momentum it can be difficult to restart. A bad snack,…

I am feeling a little antsy lately. My emotional brain is winning the fight with my logical brain. I am just impatient, I want to be moving faster, even though I am losing weight at a pace of 4 lbs per week. Just a quick rant, I will get some sleep and it will pass. I love third shift.

@NovusDies, thinking about setting a specific calorie goal to try and adhere too everyday. That way I can have a calorie bank too. Two more weeks until my vacation, maybe I will hunker down and refine some numbers after that. Keep up the fight yall

I agree with @NovusDies, if you dont already know read about what TDEE is. Then use an online TDEE calculator to determine an estimate of your specific TDEE. Then just set a goal on MFP thst creates a deficit and log your food. Oh and welcome to LL!
-
I havent gotten too much into predictions/projections, right now I just track and collect data. I can definitely see how as you get towards the end your ability to maintain deficit is gonna decrease. Right now I think who cares, if I get down to 275 or 250 and maintain, I was 430. I understand perspective changes as you…

I.have also avoided the camera for a long time.

I ate over 3000 calories both days this weekend. Finally had my pizza too. Still well below my tdee. Felt good to get back to healthier eating today. Keep the momentum going.

Great news

Didnt get pizza, oh well, wife was cooking dinner when I woke up (working 3rd shift). I neglected to tell her I wanted pizza, I ate much healthier as a result. Maybe pizza tomorrow, probably gonna end up about 14k steps, not a bad day overall.
-
My goals for today -I am getting a yummy greasy take out pizza -try not to eat the whole thing -stay below maintenance calories -get 15k steps
-
@conniewilkins56 I agree 100% with that goal
-
I feel for you, right now I can create a huge deficit and not feel hungry or lacking. I am scared of the day when that is no longer the case. I would say to experiment and try to find low calorie snacks to get you through to meal time.

Hi @kbrokop welcome to LL.

There is a local mini triathalon every summer. My brother in law has done it for the past 3 years, I am contemplating 🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️

Right now I am making myself think in terms of 25 pound goals. The nerd in me is contemplating switching to 2 stone goals instead, just because a stone sounds cool. 😉🤙😎

It definitely helps me look at it from a logical perspective. Before I would be upset that the scale didn't go down every single day. Any day it went up was a failure, so creating a scatter plot of my daily weigh ins helped me get over that. Now if the trend line has a negative slope I am ok with the specific dots being…

I realized today was my 42 day tracking, 6 weeks total. I have tracked 113710 calories, averaging 2707 per day. I have lost 25.8 pounds for an average of .61 ppd, or 4.3 ppw. 6 week running calculated TDEE is 4857, last 3 weeks TDEE is 4761. Projected weight based upon calculated deficit 396.8, actual weight 396.2. I must…

@NovusDies I guess I need to start eating more fish. I eat tuna a couple of days a week for lunch at work, but rarely eat fish other than that. I am not big on seafood, but do like alot of kinds of fish. Kinda funny how in my mind i draw a distinction between the 2.

Yesterday, Sunday, I avoided the scale. Saturday I went out and ate a huge meal. Not that I ate enough to gain 5 lbs but I figured I might have eaten enough salt too. I really dont want to see a 4 on that scale again. Thankfully today the scale was nice to me, the number went up but still started with 3. So it was a good…

All done For tomorrow 8/20 -12k steps -log food, stay under 3k -make a new overnight oats recipe
-
Almost done with a 12 hour fast, gotta get some blood work done before my checkup tomorrow. I hate fasting! - get blood work done and eat something - 12k steps - log food accurately - Did I say eat something?
-
Well I came up with 3000 calories, probably an overestimate but better over then under I guess. As long as it is an overestimate O was still below my maintenance today, so no damage done.
-
I will chalk up today as a much needed celebration of good progress. We went shopping for the cruise, ended up at the casino, which led to the casino buffet for dinner. I am daunted by trying to figure out the calories. I will make the best guesstimate I can and get back on the train tomorrow.

Make something special you normally wouldnt have or try a new recipe you havent made before. That will usually keep me out of the restaurants for a little bit.
