I live just outside Vancouver, BC.

Love that area! I had to travel to Poole a lot when I worked for Lush, and Bournemouth was the post-work / weekend escape for everyone.

It makes me really really happy to see trans folks and supporters here!

I'm so happy for you! It sounds like it's been a hard road for you, but you're clearly a tenacious guy. Congratulations on your success. :)

I did the Autumn 2014 one and it changed my life. I'm doing the January 2015 with some friends! Edit: I'm on a team that's just for people I know IRL, but it would be fun to be part of a second team for MFP friends too. If there's interest, I could create one.

5'10" SW: 230 CW: 197 GW: 170 I wasn't born a woman so my frame carries fat differently. 170 is the point at which my hips will be wider than my belly, which I regard for myself as a vain goal with a lot of positive, healthy side effects.

Automatic winner for "favourite MFP thread".

I was just going to start a similar thread, but since there's already one here, maybe it's more civil to bump it out of its 7-month slumber. I'm Angela, MTF trans, living in Vancouver BC with my kick-*kitten* wife, two cats and a terrible dachshund. I'm a pretty consistent logger and always looking to add new MFP friends,…

I use MFP and FitBit *and* RunKeeper and it was kind of tricky to get them all talking to one another in a way that avoids double-entries. This site helped me a lot: http://www.thedatablogger.com/2014/05/15/syncing-fitbit-runkeeper-and-myfitnesspal/ In a nutshell, it's easiest to record all "exercise events" in MFP,…

I'm at 201, on track for 170 by springtime. Best of luck to everyone here!

Hi, I'm Angela! I'm 33, MTF trans, live in Vancouver Canada, and have been on MFP for a few years. I'm on a big push to lose fat over the next six months, and this site/app and Fitbit are the tools I'm using to run my life during that effort! I lost 40 lbs three years ago and then spent a year putting most of it back on.…

Fabulous!

I have days like that, and rather than beating myself up, I resolve to "do the next right thing", which works for me because it's a resolution to *act* (eating better the next day, extra exercise the next morning, etc.) instead of an excuse to feel bad. Just do your best!

Thank you for sharing this – it's wonderful (and very motivating!) to see someone succeed through hard work and perseverance instead of tricks or gimmicks. Congratulations, and enjoy your bike rides!

I'm looking to drop as much fat as possible over this summer / autumn to give myself a better starting point for whatever changes HRT introduces, should I decide to start down that path early next year. I'm cutting as much sugar from my diet as possible. I've been eating healthy for a few years but didn't see the changes I…
