Yes, it's fine. BUT. I was told by a friend with a history of body building that eating too many carbs late at night before going to sleep will make it harder to shed those last few pounds. She also recommended eating more calories early in the day and before / after workouts.

I think it depends on how deep the stretch marks look, but generally on very slim / toned people they are miniscule and it doesn't make a bit of difference. If it were me though (apple shape!), I would definitely focus on hard abs before wearing any stomach baring top.
