  • Give it a go for a week or so and see how it plays out. If it goes up or stays the same, reduce by 100 at a time until you find your sweet spot. I eat roughly that + exercise for maintenance but I'm an inch shorter, 12 years older and sit at a desk 40hrs a week. On losing, I ate 1200 + exercise, mainly because I didn't…
  • Do it up man. I usually make burgers once a week. I keep it 80/20 and between 6-8 oz. I adjust my day accordingly. I'll either do baked zucchini fries or baked fresh cut fries and a salad with it. You'll make this whole process a lot easier on yourself, and worth sticking to it if you allow for things that you want if and…
  • hahaha, I feel that. I allow myself one container a week. 1.5 quart or whatever it is. When it's gone, it's gone. It usually only lasts 2 days.
  • Either way it's been the best laugh I've had in February so far. Rage on interwebs, rage on.
  • cough, cough Fatheads, cough, cough
  • If it makes you feel any better when there is a blizzard, I hang out with Blizzard. Killing my winters mildly for a long long time. If you don't have to drive to work or anywhere pressing, getting snowed in can be decently fun. You know, so long as the weight of the snow and melting doesn't destroy your property. So far…
  • Yup. And even if it's complex I'm weighing it all separately. Chicken / Steak / Fries / Cheese. Yes, don't ask, it's as amazing as it sounds.
  • A scale. Use one. Find the entries that show it in grams. Weigh the lettuce, log it. Rinse and repeat with every vegetable. Dressing. Set a bowl on the scale, tare it out to 0, weigh it in grams. The dressing I use is 70 cal / 31g.
  • lol. Well if it actually were a good burger I'd certainly make room in my day for it. Or just let it even itself out through out the week. But those things are so small. And they really aren't good. (Opinion). I mean if you were talking a 6-8 oz - 80/20 medium topped with onion rings, pepper jack, a lil dab of bbq sauce,…
  • Same height. Started at 200+ but only hopped on the scale 3 weeks later and came in at 195. So I've lost more than my ticker says. My maintenance fluctuates 140-145. Been down in this range since around March 2013. Feel free to add. I do about 1900 + exercise cals/day.
  • I'd be lost in life without my seasoning and spices. Use them on everything, always. They cost basically nothing (well on a calorie scale) :) Those 60-200 calorie / 31 g sauces add up fast... and they are mostly slop to cover up the taste of good food anyways.
  • Can't say I have. I know it's standard practice for some companies, but don't you think buying "their" food seems gimmicky? If you learn to weigh / measure accurately you can achieve the same results. Once you stop using "their" food, you won't have to learn portioning from scratch then. Personally I'd rather learn what…
  • "I seen that" makes me want to put my fist through a wall.
  • Hmmm let's see what I can remember. Some is the same as now, some different. Coffee lettuce zucchini sauteed, grilled, tossed in a light amount of bread crumbs and baked for zucchini fries. Zucchini anything basically. tomato spinach cucumber boneless skinless chicken breast ground turkey lump blue crab tilapia salmon…
  • This...all day long. 2oz dry @200 cal adds up fast. I eat a lot of white pasta, 3+ days a week. Serving size varies from 2-6 oz depending on how many calories are on the table come dinner. Or if I want a roll @ 140/ delicious serving. It's sort of like tetris fitting it and it's part of what I like about tracking. There's…
  • Oh that 330 calorie Mad Elf. Going to have to pull a 6 pack out of the garage for the season. Other than that, Jameson - rocks - all the way.
  • I've never been a huge fan of leftovers unless it's something that collects flavor such as sauce. Day one it's good, day 4 it's picked up massive amounts of flavor and is way better. So I cook to portion every meal / day. It's definitely more work, but my meals are fresh every day and I enjoy that. I don't view it as a…
  • Nope, as long as you are logging accurate that's not a cheat at all. If you have a surplus of calories, and are still hungry, use them up too. Think of it as having a guilt free relationship with food and staying within your limits.
  • Just cook on med to med - low. Give them a flip every 40-60 seconds once it sizzling. Basically when you flip it over and see one side looking like ideal bacon for you, give it 30 more seconds, pull it, and put on a paper towel. TL/DR, you have to hover over it if you want perfection. OCD ftw.
  • It's quite simple. Cereal depletes the Night Elf's mana pool to 0 and crackers hit them with 50% mp5 reduction debuff that lasts 24 hrs. I can understand her fears.
  • This^ 100% Only a higher weight range for me.
  • A quick prelog and it seems like 6k is going to be extremely difficult to hit... Well unless i cut back on the turkey and bump up on the pies. I wonder if my cousin is bringing 2 deep fried birds to the mix. That could play a crucial role in success or failure. Even if I fail, I'll be full, in a food coma, and not at work…
  • Naturally skinny. Harder for me than someone else. Easier to for them to not over eat. I have too much to do. I'm tired It's cold I waiting for my unicorn to fly me up to the land of naturally fit people. If the above is your mindset. YUP you're doomed, hopeless, and destined for failure until you change your thinking.…
  • Not a huge people person so the mall is the last place I'll be on Thurs / Friday :) Just so many people...panic attack waiting to happen. If you want a good laugh, watch Black Friday episodes from last years season of South Park.
  • Just another week to me. Gain 5 / lose 5 by the following Thursday.
  • Truth. Oh man these sushi posts. Need. spider roll. now.

  • How are you going to ask 8 questions and not answer them yourself first?
  • Blue Diamond Wasabi Soy Sauce Almonds. Crack in a can.
  • 6 am daily... unless I'm not home, then whenever I get home. Like someone else said, I think it's more about being consistent on weigh in time. Daily works for me. I like seeing the data and being able to go back 2+ years to see things. Upward trends used to be hard to deal with but I've learned a lot about one bad day not…
