  • I had found a leg workout that worked great for me at home. My back was out and i could not do heavy weight for my legs at the gym. It was a ZWow workout. Trouble I had when I considered doing more of it was finding workouts that actually met the needs of which body parts I needed to work on a given day.
  • Looks like FitBit Premium is $49.99 a year, but there are plenty of free options. I was wondering about heart rate. Does it work as a heart rate monitor as well?
  • That is pretty awesome! I think you are on track by shifting your focus from losing.
  • Pizza and Ice Cream. Both had become such common staples in our house that it is hard to let go of. I know when I can get a handle on them, other things fall into place. But I give in to their evil ways too often still.
  • I disagree. It's not about political correctness. I'm all for humor, but some people come here for help. They may tend to look in the "General Diet and Weight Loss Help" forum when doing that. I feel for those people that come in here and have to sift through the thread before finding that it is a joke, if they get far…
  • I had started doing that once, but not in the winter. I'm a few hours west of Chicago, so It's about the same climate. On the plus side, by the time you finish it should be nice out. I just couldn't take the pounding on my shins. Being a little lighter now I have been thinking about it again. I was using an app back then…
  • Here are my thoughts on the cheat day... Pros: Sanity as in you know if you get through the week, you get something that can't fit regularly in your lifestyle anymore. You are not setting yourself up to fail by trying to tell yourself you are never going to have your favorite things anymore. Fluctuating calories can help…
  • Very good way of looking at it. Last night I was doing the math in my head when it came to my son's birthday cake. while doing that math I realized that even with the cake I'm probably 2000 calories under what I was normally eating for the day.
  • Absolutely! But take the advice about the removable plates. The cleaning can be a hassle depending on what you cook.
  • Nothing wrong with starting again. The wrong thing would be to not try anymore. I'm at the same point. Good luck!
  • My family loves when i make grilled burritos on the Foreman. Normally I'm looking at a filling of lean ground beef or turkey mixed with a can of fat free refried beans. wrap in a tortilla with onion, cilantro, and cheese (if you have the room for the calories). Put it on until the shell browns. Top with salsa.
