  • You can add me! I'm a stay at home mom that runs a small baking business out of our home so temptation is always there, but you can do this just like I am! If you do add me though, I warn you, I will check up on you if I don't see you checking in!
  • I think Kelly Carlson looks gorgeous! So she gained some weight during her pregnancy, she still looks beautiful and can sing better then most out there right now. Putting others down based on their weight looks poorly on you.
  • Both diseases will greatly benefit from any kind of weight loss. Consult your doctors and ask to speak with a nutritionist. I don't think drastically eliminating anything from your diet is healthy. When I was diagnosed with PCOS the doctors pretty much told me to move more and eat less garbage (like I didn't already know…
  • Cinnamon, walnuts, bananas, and thawed frozen berries. My breakfast every morning.

  • I LOVE mushrooms! Seriously I put them in everything. I like to roast the caps, put a tomato on it and melt some cheese over top, maybe even a sprinkle of bread crumbs Yum! Now I'm wanting some stuffed mushrooms for dinner...
  • Yes, a little at first. As you start losing your hormones should start to balance out some. I just know I have to work a little harder at it. Weight loss is the most important thing you can do for PCOS though, so it does kind of suck that it makes it more difficult.
  • First of all, congratulations on the little one! You have a 10 week old baby, cut yourself a little slack and enjoy that little baby. They grow so fast! Eating fat won't make you fat. You just need healthy fats. Nuts, cheese, avocado, real butter, olive or coconut oil. Don't be afraid of fat. Refined grains and added…
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 years ago and also suffer from hypothyroidism. Losing the extra weight has helped me tremendously with my PCOS symptoms and I no longer require hormonal birth control to regulate my cycles.
  • I think you are doing great! How about just focusing on the next 10 lbs? Slowly incorporate exercise into you everyday routine. There will be bad days but don't let them turn into bad weeks. Who says you can't eat after 6? If you have calories left have a small snack or save some calories if you are always hungry in the…
  • Only if you are keeping track of sodium. Just remember extra salt intake can lead to water weight so you may want to track to see if what your trends are.
  • Turkey Salisbury steak, noodles and veggies
  • I only found out that it even happened because one friend asked me why I didn't come. I would have gone if given enough notice to find a babysitter. When I asked the girl who arranged it she said she didn't invite me because she didn't want me to "ruin my diet". I feel like it is more than that. I told her how I felt and I…
  • We are planning on trying for baby #2 this fall and I would like to be down another 10lbs. You can do it!
  • I had to lose 25 lbs before I was able to get pregnant with PCOS. Gained 35 with my pregnancy but I am now down 20+ were I was pre pregnancy.
  • Same here. Just to stay away from the kitchen because I know I'm really not hungry. Plus gets me more alone time with my hubby to, you know, talk and stuff.
  • Adding you jwebb. You can do this!
  • Added! Way to go cutting out the processed foods!
  • I weigh first thing every morning but only track once a week. I like the visual reminder to start the day.
  • Love yourself and never be ashamed. I have struggled with weight and self esteem since grade school. Now my 30 year old self wishes I could go back and tell that girl that she is beautiful no matter what size. The most important thing is to be healthy and happy with yourself. Look at yourself in the mirror and focus on…
  • Ohio here
  • If I go to a party or get together I eat 1 plate. I make it my rule not to go back for more.
  • You CAN do it! I said the same thing to myself. Set small goals and make adjustments little by little. Trying to eat 1200 calories and exercise everyday from day one is not realistic. If you love to bake, eat one cookie and give the rest away to friends or neighbors. My daughter keeps me motivated everyday. I have…
  • First of all, congratulations on the little one! My daughter is almost 2 but I was in the same boat as you (I run a small home bakery out of my kitchen so temptation is always there). I lost 30 lbs before getting pregnant and gained 40 lbs during. Breastfeeding isn't the miracle weight loss tool some make it out to be. I…
  • Congratulations on the loss! We are in a similar boat, I am about 40 lbs down too with about a 15 more to go. As we get closer to go it does become more difficult at times to stay motivated. Remember this is a LIFE TIME CHANGE not a "diet." Water, water, water, drink it all day. Lean proteins, complex carbs, whole grains,…
  • When we go out I tend to treat myself and over indulge. Going out is an ordeal for us, find a night we aren't busy and hire a babysitter and all, so I tend to order something I wouldn't cook at home and more on the unhealthy side. We tend to eat at more locally owned restaurants so looking up calories online really doesn't…
  • I'm here for you Debra. I started at around 185 after my pregnancy about 2 years ago and I've lost about 40 pounds so far. You can do it!
  • I have been at this awhile and I also need more friends to keep me going. Especially with exercise, I hate working out!
  • Hi there! I also suffer from PCOS along with a severely under active thyroid. Been at this for almost 2 years now! Feel free to add. I'm looking for new friends too!
  • I eat around 1200 cals a day. Give or take a few. My typical day is: Breakfast 1cup of multigrain cheerios 1/2 cup of skim milk 1 med banana or pear Lunch salad with 2 cups leefy greens, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 cup tomatos, either hard boiled egg or ham slice and fat free italian dressing 1 apple Dinner about 4oz of lean meat…
