Made these tonight - amazing! They were pretty addicting too. I'm going to keep them in my recipe box for a great party snack too. Thanks so much for sharing!

This is the part that gets me frustrated when I see those posts. Especially the ones that say "I've been doing this for a week and have only lost one pound!" Um...I wish I had seen results like that!! Why are they complaining? It's taken me a long time to see my work paying off, and that's frustrating, but I've learned you…

Try planning ahead by packing your gym bag and going right to the gym after work. It will actually give you more energy for the rest of the night because you'll feel more positive about accomplishing your workout. Otherwise, maybe ask your hubby to go to the gym with you?

I've only read a few of the responses, but here's my take. Yes, it sounds like he has a TON of insecurities, but the scary thing is he seems like he wants to control you. That's the red flag! Anyone who truly cares for you won't threaten you with breaking up. It's a really mean thing to do. Nobody should play with your…

Bump - I love this no-nonsense approach. I've been cranky lately with certain forum posts too :)

Thanks for the advice everyone! I feel a little more positive now about the outlook. I'll try out these stretches, train a bit, get a foam roller, and see what the doctor says.

Thanks - I'm looking into doctors in the area that I can visit. It's a bad idea to self-diagnose - but it's the best I've got to go on so far. Hopefully I can fit an appt in and get some more confidence answers. I have been doing general leg stretches after running (standing hamstring, touching my toes, butterfly, calves)…

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I really should have invested in new shoes sooner, but I'm still getting used to having income and was nervous about the expense. Seems silly now, I know. Yep, I did go to a specialty store just for runners and got fitted properly. I'm hoping the new shoes will make a difference now. I ran in…

Thanks - I'll try this!

Actually, yeah that might be the problem. If you made too huge of a change too quickly, and you are eating BELOW 1200 cals (everyone on here will tell you to not do that consistently) you might have put your body into starvation mode, or you might soon if you don't start eating above that. Every person is different, but…

I'm not sure, because I'm in the same boat with you (I've been at this for a while and am seeing my weight drop eeevvveerr so slowly..) but my two thoughts are maybe 1. You aren't eating enough or are eating below 1200 cals/day or 2. You might be underestimating your calorie intake, but to me it sounds like you're pretty…

bump! This sounds delicious - Thanks for posting! Perfect for winter and low-carb. I'll definitely be making this!

I eat Lean Cuisines everyday for lunch. I can't get up early in the am so they are really fast and convenient. The main thing I've been eating them for is to get a jump-start on a low-cal diet and to really rein in my portion sizes, which were out of control. Now I actually sometimes get too full to finish them! At this…

In the same boat with you! But an idea... Are you maybe overestimating what you burn with exercise, and then making up for it when you eat? I'd suggest getting a heart monitor for when you work out - I've found the MFP estimates are often pretty far off what I actually burn. It takes out the guesswork.

Sounds like a problem of just being considerate to your fellow gym-mates and having some backup routines to do while you wait. If all the machines are taken, warm up and stretch on your own for a while, or if someone has left their stuff on a machine, wait till they come back to ask if they are finished using it. When gyms…

Bump. These look delicious! Chinese food is my weakness, but I could definitely go without the greasiness of the typical fare. Can't wait to try.

One of my favorite breakfast items is the 3-minute Breakfast Burrito Recipe I got from the Incredible Egg website. It's SUPER fast and uses very little dishes! Basically, you start with a tortilla in a bowl, break an egg in it, and scramble with a fork. Microwave for 30 seconds, take out, scramble up again with the fork,…

It's up to you, but so far I really enjoy the P90x workouts. Tony is a great trainer, and the workouts are fun and motivating. It does take a lot of dedication to do it everyday. It became unrealistic for me, so I use the workouts more with other DVDs and with running (there's not much as much cardio in the program as I'd…

These sound great! I can't wait to try them. I bet they'd also be a hit for a party appetizer-dessert too..

I read a great article today: http://tinybuddha.com/blog/7-reasons-to-be-happy-even-if-things-aren%E2%80%99t-perfect-now/ It's about learning to be being happy in the moment. Personally I find it so much easier to make better choices for myself if I focus on being happy, instead of focusing on the negative. I'm on MFP…

I seem to have a lot of Greys and Blacks (because of the slimming effects) but then randomly have lots of bright magenta and teal! Rai - I liked the advice you gave Robin, particularly the part about how you WILL feel hungry. I was complaining the other day to my bf about how it was so frustrating for me to cut my intake…

Is it too late to join in on this group? I'm 26 - hoping to lose 40lbs to get back to a healthy and feel confident :-) I'm new to MFP too - just started here about 2 weeks ago. Haven't lost yet, but here are my goals for December: -Log EVERYDAY, and stay at or under 1500 cals/day -Lose 5lbs by end of December

I'm 26 and trying to lose around 40 lbs - count me in here! I just started MFP about two weeks ago. Haven't seen the scale budge yet :-/ but I'm determined to keep it up!

Huh. Not that I agree with a strict mindset with dieting, but I know that support doesn't mean people pat you on the back constantly and tell you what you WANT to hear. Support is about people telling you what you might NEED to hear! And I didn't realize anyone was being mean about it... Anyway, I wish her the best, and I…

I totally agree with you! One of my favorite "diet" books is French Women Don't Get Fat, and the author emphasizes BALANCE and not skimping on a great meal with those you love. Just...make sure you keep it in mind the rest of your week. You don't have to be perfect everyday. I'm going to TWO Thanksgiving meals this year,…
