  • Damn! When I saw 10/22 I thought this going to be about the Ruger.
  • I got this far. Who cares what people think?!? Do what's best for you!
  • To avoid getting bored with my routine I constantly rotate my workout. One of the best pieces of advice a friend gave me at the gym was, "Do what you feel". Instead of forcing myself to stick to a set routine all the time. Sometimes I'll walk into the gym and I'll feel like doing a boxing routine or the tough mudder…
  • Good luck, I hope it's good news!
  • Thanks everyone, when I started this my Doc had just put me on cholesterol meds and that was the final straw. I expected to get off the the cholesterol meds, I didn't think I was ever going to be off the the hbp medication. I tried doing omega 3, I was taking 4k mg of lavaza and it didn't help. Now I take 1k mg of lavaza…
  • When I'm tired (unless I'm exhausted), I go to the gym with the intention of doing a light work out. A lot of the time, once I get started I have more energy than I thought so I'll go harder. I'm also finding that since I started eating better, I don't need as much sleep and I'm not as tired all the time. That or I'm just…
  • Who cares?
  • I love these kinds of workouts! I'm not trying to get big, my joints can't handle heavy weights anymore. The kind of activities I do call for endurance and this stuff works great for increasing my endurance.
  • It's a damn good work out, by the time you finish the third set you'll be huffing and puffing. another one along the same lines but you need a timer is the tough mudder work out. I haven't done it in a while but it's also a really good workout. The Tough Mudder Workout consists of 16 exercises that collectively work every…
  • What exactly are you nervous about? Just do it! Seriously, what have you got to lose?
  • Supposedly this is the workout used by the actors that played the Spartans in the movie 300. At least that's the what I've read.
  • You guys need to find another gym. The people that work at my gym are pretty personable. Even down to the maintenance guys that say hi when they see me. As far as people that take up the whole bench with their stuff I've only seen a couple people do that and I just push it aside. You know you're not the only person here. I…
  • God I wish this would happen to me!
  • I just started doing this a couple weeks ago. Pretty tough, I can't do the pull ups unassisted so I do them on a machine. Not sure how long it's taking me. I think I'm somewhere around 30 minutes. I do that once a week, I also do the Randy Couture wrestler's workout once a week.
  • Yes, my biggest pet peeve is getting hit on at the gym. It just doesn't seem to happen enough... Ok, it doesn't happen at all. WTH?!?
  • I've been there. Insomnia, you're totally exhausted but cannot sleep. When you're at the gym you feel as if you're not training enough. No matter how much you train if you give yourself five minutes to rest you feel like you can and should do more. Your performance actually starts to decline even though you may feel strong.
  • Like others said, find another doctor, get an MRI. I tore my acl a couple years ago. It hurt when it happened but didn't really swell up until the next day. The risks of doing the wrong exercises with a torn ligament in the knee is damage to the miniscus. Research the doctor, I used a doc that is a surgeon for several…
  • i think the x factor gym is basically the same as the tower 200. A gym is probably the best but if you can't go to a gym and have no room for a weight set. IMO this would be the next best thing.
  • Resistance bands Here's a set that might be helpful http://www.amazon.com/Body-Jake-Full-Body-Exercise-Sports/dp/B0037TRMXY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348600183&sr=8-1&keywords=tower+200
  • Weigh yourself around the same time every day. I weigh myself first thing in the morning since your weight will vary throughout the day. Also do your clothes fit any different? My pants were falling off, I started tightening my belt. Today I dug out an old pair of pants a size smaller.
  • After reading another thread the other day about taking in too few calories, I changed my activity level from sedentary to lightly active. Because although I work a desk job I work out five days a week and teach speed and agility to my daughter's softball team three days a week and ride dirtbikes on the weekend. So I…
