Grab 20 almonds as you walk out the door..eat them as you walk to the bus. 140 cals right there. Problem solved. Also, an 18 year old who says she can;t wear skirts rings all sorts of body image alarms bells for me. Get help, please.

I set mine to lose .5 pounds/week for a similar reason. It lets me see an upper level (1700ish)where I will lose weight, but I tend to hover around 1400-1600/day. It's all psychological!

i have the same problem! I eat chicken and fish, but husband is vegetarian and I barely get half the daily protein I should. I could live on nuts and cheese, but maybe not when i am trying to drop a few kgs :)

Calories, cabs, fat, protein, fibre, sodium. The latter because heart problems run in my family and it's worth me be aware. Also, I tend to go for salty rather than sweet anyway (Put a slice of chocolate cake and a bucket of hot, salty chips in front of me and I will go for the chips every time!)

Chop up and freeze into smaller amounts for when tomatoes are not in season.

Pie Floaters - a peculiarly South Australian dish that consists of a meat pie and sauce sitting in pea soup. Gag. Apart from that, like most things - don't like the texture of liver by itself, but love pate!

I set my goals to lose .5 pound a week, but that is just so I know what my cushion is if I eat out etc. I want to lose about a pound a week, so I tend to not eat back exercise cals, But I do eat when I am hungry. Because your calorie deficit is already built in, and if you exercise, your body will need more energy.
