I'm 5' 3.5". At my heaviest I was 172 lbs and was wearing a 12-14. I am currently 130 lbs (9 months later) and am wearing a 3-5. I have 5 more lbs to go to get to the middle of my "healthy weight" and think I will still be comfortably in a size 3 at that point. It's weird though because even though I'm in a size that most…

MWAAAAAAHHHHHH to you all! I should probably mention that I grew up in a home where my father always recognized personal achievements by myself and my four siblings. So, I guess that probably plays a big part in the way I feel. I also thought that maybe hubby was busy at work and would say something or give me a hug or…

I hear you there...I'm not sure how many times, while sitting on the couch watching tv with the family, my husband handed me a bag of chips to pass to my son on the other side of me! Talk about rubbing it in my face! Anyway, thanks for the positive comment and congrats to you for keeping at it even when she isn't!!! That's…

My mother-in-law (after not seeing me since around the 10 lbs lost marker)..."Well, SOMEone's been on a diet!" I KNOW she's not smart enough to have thought it up as a mean thing to say, but there are a THOUSAND ways of saying it nicer than that, no?? LOL Also, "Where did your boobs go?" To which I have replied, "The same…

I throw it in EVERYTHING...no one even knows it's there now...soups, stir-fries, smoothies. Kinda like spinach in lasagna...I've done that since the dawn of time and my kids thought lasagna was SUPPOSED to have 'green stuff' in it! LOL

I really never drank pop much at all until I started trying to lose weight. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not, but I don't drink much other than water and the occasional glass of skim milk. I don't drink coffee or tea and I really dislike juice, so that doesn't leave much. Anyway, I started drinking…

5'3...AND a half! lol I was 102 in high school, 118 when I got married, 143 at my heaviest pregnancy weight. In August last year I hit 172 lbs and decided THAT WAS IT! I started exercising and eating better on August 16 (the day I went back to work after my summer holidays) and joined MFP just over 2 months ago. I am proud…

Wow...those are some truly amazing stories! I am so glad I found this group! I have been steadily gaining weight for the last 8 years...it just crept up on me. My 'rock bottom, I gotta DO something about this weight' was 172 lbs. I am 5' 3.5" tall and felt awful about myself. I've made some life changes in my eating…

I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and I actually got mine for free. My doctor wrote me a "prescription" for one which allowed me to claim it through my health insurance at work. I don't know if that would work for you, but you could look into it. :) Good luck!

Not a typical breakfast, but my son made biscuits last night (like the ones from Red Lobster) and I had one for supper last night and snuck one into my purse to bring for a morning snack today. But, I ran out of time for breakfast at home this morning, so the biscuit and a mandarine orange became my breakfast at work! 190…
