  • Time to do this again and start feeling like a strong, fit person again. Vacation over, pulled muscles healing. You are all so motivating, this time is it! I thought last week was it, but couldn't get my eating under control. This is going to be THE month!
  • @vivdii - most of all have a lot of fun and enjoy your family! But my first thought is drink a lot of water, get in some good exercise, have lots of veggies around and enjoy the food a bit. The vacation will come to an end and you'll have great memories, you can always jump right back on board when you are home.
  • My new motivation- eating clean and workout-induced sweating may have decreased my hot flashes a bit. And drinking more water has to help. If that is what it takes, no problem!
  • I finished round 1 and feel ready to start round 2 in a couple of days! Here are my stats: Round 1 starting: (I'll copy @synacious 's format)* Weight: 149.7 * Chest: 33 * Waist: 33 * Hips: 38 * L/R Thigh: 23.25/23.5 * L/R Arm: 13.25/13 * L/R Calves: 15.5/15.5 Round 1 end:* Weight: 145.8 (I'll call that a 4 lb loss!) *…
  • You've probably all heard about this already, but just in case- spaghetti squash is really good with a bit of sauce on it! It's not really like pasta, but gives you the illusion you might be eating spaghetti. Its good prepared a lot of ways.
  • Its so fun to see all the new people and read all the great stories everyone brings to the group! Just makes me feel more motivated!
  • Nice job @musicfan4life30 ! Makes me excited to measure in a few days.... And same to you @shelbyfit72 ! Fantastic results for both of you! I'm wondering what everyone does between rounds so you don't lose the muscle and motivation? Different workouts or fewer days per week? I want to make sure to keep up some of the…
  • Thanks @synacious, it's good to hear smart logic, always brings me back around. I guess I would be happy with a 2 lb loss since I haven't seemed to be able to do that in the past year! It's too easy to have big expectations without thinking about what's realistic, and the inches are going to be the real indicator of all…
  • I'm a little disappointed in myself these last two days. I didn't have the necessary good food in the house and was too lazy to get to the store, so I ate a ton of fruit, watermelon- all water, right?? and some mexican food- but I thought I was being good. I counted my chips to keep them at a serving, had two small corn…
  • Great info, thanks! I just checked out the Think Thin bars- peanut butter is my favorite, and they taste good- and they have 20 gr protein, 0 sugars, gluten free, low glycemic and kosher. And 240 calories per bar. They do leave a nasty taste in the mouth though.
  • @ladybug1250 I feel myself getting a little bit lazy this week with nutrition too. I didn't do my normal shopping and am lacking in anything protein-like and variety of veggies. I had a protein bar today- think thin, great bars, but I have no idea how to count it. Argh. I have a good feeling about this week though!…
  • Today was day 8, starting over with the workouts. I really noticed a difference from the first time, my legs held up longer through most of the exercises! And I wasn't sore the first time I did Total Body Fix since it was the first workout, so it really feels like progress.
  • This might be a really odd combo to some of you, especially if you do not like pickles. I made plain quinoa and didn't know what I wanted to do with it, and I was in a hurry. I thought anything would do, it just needed some moisture. No broth in the fridge, but there was a jar of pickles. So I poured a little pickle juice…

  • Day 7 and going strong! My muscles are feeling back to normal, except a stronger normal! I am still modifying a lot, but I didn't expect to become super fit in one week either. I stuck pretty close to the eating plan. I had Thai food Friday night with veggies, mango, and shrimp and just spoonful of rice but wonderfully…

  • Oh- it did it! How exciting, I feel so up on things now.... ;)
  • I bet you could find a good DVD that has a similar workout as the barre legs. I am so illiterate at posting stuff, social media. I don't know how you all get the blue @ladybug etc, when you type it! But this is for you! And @synacious, thanks for the info and Barre warning!
  • Yes! I just turned 51 this summer. I have 14 and 18 yr old boys who keep me feeling more like 39.9.9.9! I'm 5'2+ and 150, and hoping for a nice loss 10 lb loss after a couple of rounds of this.

  • Thank you! I got the program from my sister and I think she must have left out some information. I don't see anything about daily doubles... when do we get the pleasure of doing those? I can't imagine!
  • No, that wasn't just for the workout! I do quite a bit of walking throughout the day, probably close to 6/7 miles, so I was just celebrating - it's a bit more than my usual, but this program has got me totally motivated. Sorry for misleading!
  • Randilast- I got a great underwire sports bra, but I also wear a regular one underneath it and it gives me complete support. I haven't found any sports bras that can replace the "two bra method", and I'm plenty blessed also, but it works!
  • Day 3- eating is going well so far, workouts are killing me but I've gotten through them and it feels really awesome! My sore muscles are what is really motivating me now. There is no way I am stopping these workouts due to laziness, only to shame myself into restarting and having to feel this pain again! All of this…
  • Just started today and can't believe that workout! I agree with an above post - my legs feel like jello and I had to modify, but I feel so awesome for getting through it! Wearing my new fitbit charge HR and can't wait to see what it looks like! 17676 steps!!
  • Hello, my name is Jennifer, I just turned 51 this summer and I live in NW Oregon. I will be getting my kit in a few days and I can hardly wait! I am 5'2-1/2" and weigh 150. I supervise a data entry unit at an insurance company, so lots of sitting-at-the-computer time. But I take a commuter bus to work and have several 10…
  • I am so excited, I get my packet in a few days~ You are all so motivating, what a great board! It's funny how everyone comments on the workout part and not the food prep which is what I was nervous about, so now I am really curious and excited about it! Great job to all of you who have already started!

  • Sometimes I can get myself moving by self talking- it's just 30 minutes out of the whole day; just go through the motions, you don't even have to sweat; you can skip today but what about tomorrow? I have even been known to try to bribe myself with a glass of wine. However, every few weeks I have a day where I am just…

  • Thanks for the chuckle! Alcohol really throws your efforts to the curb, it's a bummer. But I can have a glass a day as long as I watch my carbs closely.
  • What a great reminder to listen to our bodies and do all those little tricks we've learned along the way. I always need to be reminded of how well they actually do work- thank you for sharing and great job saving yourself 1700+ calories!
  • Congrats- that's a very telling sign that you are losing inches! Way to go!!
