I think the important thing to remember is that this is not a race, it's a lifestyle change. .5lb/week is an acceptable rate to be losing at, especially if you're at a lower weight to begin with. (Lower as in 150lb vs 250lb.) Make sure you're using a food scale to accurately log your meals, and don't forget drinks and BLTs…

That's a good point about the other ankle, I hadn't thought of that. I'll look into getting another brace, and maybe figure out the ways to lace shoes for more support. Do you mean that lifting helped your ankle, or didn't? I can read it either way in my head depending on verbal emphasis. xD

I'm going to be honest, and say that at 250lbs, I would definitely try to make positive lifestyle changes, rather than a bypass, or even a crash diet. While bariatric surgery/extreme dieting can be useful tools in weight loss, if you can't maintain a good diet and be aware of your calorie intake and requirements, the…

Wow, more than 4lbs a week, what are you doing? :)
-
Between 1-2. You look very very thin in 3, how tall are you?
-
You know I'm actually not sure about the windows phones, sorry. :ohwell: If you go on the website there is a tab called "Reports" at the top. From there you can really see a lot.
-
Yes, exactly! The reporting features are so great, you can really see the effort you've put in! In a few months those charts will really wow you.
-
Definitely better than gaining it back for sure! :)
-
Is it too much to say that I find the maintenance impressive? I have heard that is harder than loosing.
-
Good grief, that's definitely a stretch. :flowerforyou:

So surprised more people were not interested in this, haha.

That feeling of accomplishment is so amazing, haha.

I gained weight around the time I got my mirena, but I also had a lot of lifestyle changes (and way too much german beer). I still have it, and have lost 30lbs, so your mileage may vary.

I have found MFP's estimates to be off by a lot, so you're right on not eating back all those calories. I'm curious, have you been weighing portions with a scale? It's easy to be eating much more than you think, if you're just using measuring cups/eyeballing. By the way, I think you're playing yourself down too much. You…

Once I stopped in a Taco Bell while on a road trip, and saw something on the floor that looked like taco meat near the bathroom. The women's room was occupied, so I waited, and waited, and waited. Some time later, a lady with oddly damp pants slunk out of the bathroom, accompanied by a miasma of shame and feces. She…

Generally, you want to weight first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom and before eating, wearing as little clothing as possible. What you should be looking for is the overall downward trend, some days you will be heavier than others, based on water retention, waste products in your body, and other factors. If…

Your doctor put you on Topamax while you were pregnant?!

This is a made up thing, with a bunch of guys online trying to troll, and create the new thigh gap.

At the gym I go to, TRX is body weight exercises using straps that come down from a frame. You can use them to stabilize when you're doing squats, or hold your feet in the air to plank, along with a myriad of other exercises. It is nice, because everything you do can be changed to make it more or less intense, depending on…

If it is canned in water, I'm not sure you need to worry about it.
