  • Torrey Pines isn't too challenging, and Sunset Cliffs. Peñasquitos canyon is also pretty flat, if you want a longer trail.
  • Hi! :) I'm 33, 5'6", SW: 200lbs, CW: 175lbs, GW: 140lbs. I'm also athletic and have found it difficult to lose weight. I'm a runner, but I also love the gym. I think it's really tough being an athlete and losing weight because you can't do the same simple calorie deficit since you need the calories. I'm tired of being "fit…
  • WOW! Congratulations!! This is quite a milestone and accomplishment! Keep up the great work!!
  • Thanks everyone! Nice to know I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Just keep swimming!
  • Flu... absolutely not. Your body needs to put all your energy into recovery. Cold... maybe. Sometimes a slightly lighter worker can help speed up recovery and get all the "yuckys" out of your system. However, if your cold is making it really hard to breathe, I'd say give it a day or two. Also, no one likes working out next…
  • BWAAAHAHAHAHA! I read about the shoes and I was like... WTF... is this for real??? Thanks for making me LOL!
  • I'm so sorry about your lack of support at home. The good news is your bf thinks your beautiful no matter how much you weigh, which is great (though not super motivating for the girl trying to lose weight). It's also tough when you don't have control over what you eat. Here is a trick I've found helpful for me: Fat Girl…
  • DAMN!!! 50 lbs! GREAT JOB!!! :) Keep up the good work! It is so hard to get started, but it looks like you've made it over that first "hump"! Good luck and stick with it... you're doing fantastic!!
  • Get outside and run or walk!! And select different places to run/walk/hike - that way you don't get bored! Get a friend to walk with you a few days a week, and it won't seem like a chore! :) Good luck!
  • WOOHOO!!! Congrats on this major WIN! I decided I would do one 5k a month every month in 2013 (and I've kept with it!), and at first, I walked a good portion of it (heck, I couldn't even run a full mile in January). But I kept with it and by April, I ran the whole thing for the first time! Victories like this aren't easy…
  • I kinda love that guys are self-conscious about what to wear to the gym too! You guys can rock whatever you feel comfortable in at the gym (as long as it's legal!)
  • Yeah, I honestly don't get it. But then, I don't typically wear much make-up anyway. I look like a freakin' BEAST when I workout hard anyway and no amount of makeup will cover up my crazy red face. So I guess there's no chance of picking up someone at the gym for me - darn. LOL! But it's so bad for your pores to exercise…
  • Ocean Beach here! :)
  • I always log my workouts in MFP, and it syncs with FB. So in MFP, you can add an exercise such as treadmill, uphill by entering the time and calories, and it will sync with FB. Fitbit will only add floors if you're actually gaining elevation, so log it in MFP.
  • Oh honey. You're only set in your ways if you allow yourself to be. I've been a picky eater all my life too. We're talking like gag reflexes to veggies and fruits. Could be texture, could be taste, but it's probably more mindset and habit to be honest. I'm 31. But over the last few years, I've really expanded my food…
  • I like #5 the best... I personally think that black is kinda drab to wear to a wedding - especially an outdoor wedding. I don't think #5 makes you look "top heavy" at all, and I like the way it accentuates your waist. Very flattering. :) Want to know which I think is most "top heavy"? #1. The black bottom is slimming on…
